*** NFL Football People On "Survivor" TV Show ***

The Reality TV series "Survivor" has had some NFL football people on various seasons of the series.
This thread is for the subject of football on "Survivor" but it can be used for other "Survivor" related stuff and talk as well. Feel free to use it for posts regarding "Survivor" past and present and for future seasons as well.

The Reality TV series "Survivor" has entered its 22nd season with "Survivor: Redemption Island"

(2011) currently airing Wednesday nights on CBS Network.

I thought it would be a good idea to highlight the 2 former NFL football players that are on this

season's installment of the series and to list the former football players, coaches, and cheerleaders that

have been on the series throughout the years.

The 2 former NFL football players that are currently on "Survivor: Redemption Island" (2011):

STEVE WRIGHT
*10-season (1981-1992) career as Offensive Lineman for the Dallas Cowboys, the

Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts, and the Los Angeles Raiders
*Age 51

GRANT MATTOS
*Former Wide Receiver/Special Teams player for the Tennessee Titans, the San Diego Chargers, and

the Denver Broncos
*Age 29

Former NFL football players, coaches, and cheerleaders in past seasons of "Survivor":

*Jimmy Johnson (former Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins,) was on

"Survivor: Nicaragua" in 2010
*Gary Hogeboom (former Quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, the Indianapolis Colts, the Arizona
Cardinals, and the Washington Redskins) was on "Survivor: Guatemala" in 2005
*Brenda Lowe (former cheerleader of the Miami Dolphins) was on Survivor: Nicaragua" in 2010

Maybe it's just me but the show seems to lean toward the Dallas Cowboys.

Who knows but maybe a Minnesaota Viking will be on "Survivor" someday.

I do apologize if I left any NFL football people off. It was not intentional. If I did, please post them.

I appologize for some of the line spacing in Post #2. It must've been a posting issue.

I'll try it again and hopefully it will post correctly. If not, please try to read throught it as is.

Yeah, that worked out a whole lot better. The line spacing appears better in Post #4.

So, hopefully a Topix Moderator, or whoever deletes posts at Topix, will please take notice of that mistake and please delete my Posts #2 and Post #3 so those posts won't clutter up my thread. It would make it easier for others to read. Thank you.

Oooops. If you click on the above link for the ESPN Steve Wright "Survivor" interview, it will state that the webpage can't be found. But it is the correct link. So, I don't understand why. Sorry about that.

This one should work correctly.
