I know we will enjoy the game 1 way or another. It sucks to loss, but, its not the end of the world. As a fan it sucks yea, but, its been an interesting year, but, i expect to see the Packers in the NFC title game.ITs just a matter of where.
At Lambeau vs Seattle or @ ATL..
but thats why they play the game..Going to be solid, both teams are terrific and IMHO Either one of these 2 teams should be the NFC rep. in the SB
Yes ATL finished with #1 seed but they havent exactly been stellar in playoff games,so beating Seattle will be a tough gig in itself

Good luck Eric & GBPmies. Enjoy the game. I know I will. Hopefully you are still defending the Pack next week. Just remember the sun will rise on Sunday
But, the sunsets are prettier in Seattle and San Francisco.....lol....

Thanks buddy, but why would I have to defend the Packers after they beat the 9ers?

JK, I know what you mean and I will be here just like last year after they got smoked by the Giants. 9ers are a very good team and tough challenge for the Packers. By no means do I think this will be easy.

The Viking went way further then expected. A few good draft picks and a couple free agents and who knows what next year will bring.

The packers went about as far as expected. The real problem here is salary cap issues, who will be back next year? What coaching staff members will be offered better positions on other teams. Will the pack be back at least this strong or are they starting to slide?

Salary cap is a problem for which one? Im assumng you meant GB.If so, they do have 7M right now and there are a few FA who will be leaving and not resigned and dont need to be.Driver is prob gone now and frees up a bit over 1M GB can free up some cash with cuts ( like Hawk, since Bishop and DJ Smith are coming back) Woodson is gone prob. unless he and Gb agree to a bit of a contract agreement. They will have some cash.Jennings wont be back most likely and that frees up 9M.he will get a ton of cash most likely and GB is loaded at WR,they should be ok

Right I meant GB. And you just list these all stars that are leaving GB. That was my point with the salary cap. GB will most likely lose

Driver! Great receiver
Hawk
Woodson all star!
Jennings another great receiver

That's 4 very good players lost because of salary cap.

Don't think that the Vikes won't be eyeing those receivers.

Driver wants to keep playing, maybe Woodson too, and there is always that feeling of abandonment that accompanies loss of playing time. Woodson was the best FA pick up since Reggie White IMO for GB, but the injury this year may spell the end for this prospective HOF Corner. Hawk will play somewhere, but never realized the expectations of a 1st rounder.
Jennings remains Aaron's favorite target, but is he worth keeping over someone like Jordy who has slipped?
Money, money, money
TT needs to focus on Defense and O line, not to mention RBI.

They have Randall Cobb,Jordy Nelson,James Jones and TT has a knack of finding very good WE,which makes it possible to lose a guy like Jennings w/o getting hit.Jennings hasnt played a complete season in 3 years and arguably WR is GB deepest spot.
Woodson is well past his prime sadly. If he and the Packers agreed to a reno on his contract ( hes got 2 years left for a TON of cash) i dont have the exact number in front of me.
Hawk was solid, but, with Desmond Bishop and DJ SMith coming back and a bit quicker LB like Dezmond Moses playing well last year,Hawk is expendable to free up cash and bring back a draft pick in return.
Donald Driver is a sentimental pick,he couldnt break the top 5 WR for playing time, doesnt mean he wont somewhere else ( there was a time when NO ONE could imagine Favre playing anywhere but GB well,,,,) same with Joe Montana and others, but, it happens.
Driver wanted to play a few more years, who knows, maybe he will, maybe he will decide to retire a Packer,OR he will play for someone for a year or 2,then sign a 1 day contract with GB and retire a Packer who knows ( if it means that much to retire as a Packer) if not,he will always be a Packer and will be in the Packer HOF for sure, prob. not the pro football HOF but a damn good WR esp for a later round pick
Point is GB can lose Jennings,Driver w.o. a lot of hit.
Woodson with some hit but not a whole lot and Hawk was a very consistant, solid, always played but never a highlight film LB but with guys coming back and we could use some cap space,he can go ( as long as the other LB mentioned are healthy and can play next year)
GB needs to concentrate on ( as 40 corretly stated) Defense ( although they will get a few guys on defense back who will really help next year who were missing this season albeit a huge chunk of it,or the end of it,last few games) and OLINE will be addressed I would think.RB isnt quite a need,Address the OLINE correctly and that improves the RB situation that much more.No need for a high draft pick or big bucks on a RB.DuJaun Harris prob. gets the inside track on the starters job,Alex Green is ok..If they bring back Cedric Benson or draft another back is the question, they also have James Starks who plays well when healthy but cant stay healthy,so do they give him 1 more year to prove himself or show him the door is another question. The talent is there for sure ( 2010 was a great example) but 11 and 12 was filled with to many knicks and bruises that slowed him down and maybe it should have, maybe it shouldnt have.Turf Toe is painful stuff Yes, and if he were in Minn on turf, that would be one thing,Playing on Grass at Lambeau maybe another,,again its painful,(ive never had turf toe,but ive never had a heart attack either, but i know its painful and you dont have to suffer from one to know its painful right?_

The packers know that the Vikes will be looking for some help at WR.
If GB cuts good WR they not only lose them but they could wind up helping their main competitor out. kind of a double whammy.
