You hit the key.If Ponder has a solid game like last week,Minnesota has a good shot at winning,If the Packers can get in Ponders face, force an INT or 2,GB should win it ( notice i said SHOULD)
GB needs to get off to a quicker start as well. They started off slow down 13-0 and if that happens again, that can be trouble.Question is,can peterson run for 200 yards? Whats the bigger odds,Peterson running for 200 or GB holding Peterson to around 100?
I believe Rodgers will have another solid game.Hopefully Harris can put together a nice running game again, that would certainly help as well to keep AR upright, but, again,we have to get in Ponders face a bit more and put some hits on him or at least make him throw it sooner then he wants to or hes supposed to

I will admit that Im nervous about my Vikes eric, but not any more than usual lol! It will definitly be interesting to see the game plan of both teams. Do the Packers send extra blitzers to pressure Ponder, which gives Peterson a chance to get into the defensive backfield with less tacklers? Or do they sell out to stop Peterson which then gives Ponder a shot at hitting man-on-man coverage? Ponder may not be all that on the long ball, but I have seen Ponder move the ball quite efficiently in 10 - 15 yard chunks. The Vikes defense forcing Rodgers to 3-and-out is a must! Cant wait for the game, no matter what happens.

Ponder has problems going through his progressions, if his primary target isn't there he struggles........the most frustrating part of the Viking offense is that the play action isn't there........with the incredible success the Vikes have at running with AP the play action should be dynamic at times yet it never is........part of that is because these receivers can't get seperation even when single covered, gotta address that in the off season.
It's gonna be dam difficult to neutralize all 4 of GB's receivers, especially when the most accurate thrower in the league is tossing the 'skin, HUGE match-up problems for the Vikes in that area.

I wonder how many drops Finley has vs the Vikings which actually may have lowered his 73%,thats even scarier!

Im abit nervous myself.Pressure is one to establish some sort of fear in opponents to play a playoff game at Lambeau that hasnt been around since Favre glory days.It has to start somewhere,so it might as well start tonight,as Rodgers is hitting his prime and prob. the best chances of winning another SB is over the next few years,.
Good call and according to what Capers said about the Packers defense being to aggressive vs Peterson last weekend,I believe ( and again its my opinion going off what Def. Coor.Capers said) the Packers stack the line to hold off Peterson as best they can and take their chances with Ponder.I just dont see any other way of doing it.Ponder played fantastically last week in basically a Playoff game ( unofficial playoff game, but, win or go home,it might as be one) but now on the road, instead of home, outside in the cold instead of the dome, actual playoffs and who knows how it would work, but, its safe to say stopping Ponder is a whole lot easier then stopping Peterson.I can see Woodson playing for alot of blitzes which wont take Minn. to long to fiqure out,but ,until then,i can see Woodson blitzing,he is great at it and hes just not the cover corner he once was and since we are approaching Woodson's last games as a Packer ( most likely),we ( hopefully ) can get him another SB ring. After breaking the same bone in his shoulder twice, who knows how much football he has left, maybe a few year, maybe not but hes at the end of a brilliant HOF career and he can still blitz.
AS GB WILL,Minn should use alot of Rudolph over the middle.Finley is a nightmare matchup vs any LB, but, drops a ton of passes,Rudolph i think can be a problem over the middle as well and Ponder can move the ball 10 yards as a time, eat the clock, keep Rodgers and Co. off the field and tire GB defense out and with everyone trying to contain Peterson, thats a doable plan and of course, they can go for the Homerun ball sometime down the line.IN FACT, i do wonder if Minnesota wouldnt try a long bomb early just to get it in the back of the Packers defenses mind that Minn. is willing to go long ( although both teams know each other very well) its something some what out of the norm.I do wonder if both teams left a play or 2 out of the playbook last week? Again they know each other rather well and a different look now can be effective.Minn. is more likely to open the playbook last week then GB was as the Packers were only playing for a bye week,Minn. was playing for their lives, but, i do wonder if both teams dont have something scripted out of the norm for th other one at some point tonight.( and they couldnt show it last week,or its on film and the other team can plan for it)but again, thats just one more then to have to study on.Should be fun and a tough game.GB needs to start fast though,if they fall behind Minn early again, its going to be tough. They will not take Peterson out of it,but,if they get up early and quickly,Ponder may have to throw a few more times, which ( thank God,) less runs for Peterson ( hopefully and great in theory and wishful thinking)

Congrats on the big win Pack fans, I didnt expect it to be this lopsided but had a sinking feeling when I heard Webb was starting. For all the "Ponder sucks, start Joe Webb" fans, you got what you wanted...one and done.

24-10 with 3M plus left,so its not over yet.Packers did dominate the first 3 quarter for sure and the 4th quarter is basically junk time, which bothers me.I would like to see Green Bay have the killer instinct and bury them away sooner. The Packers couldnt put together 1 time consuming drive in the last 10 Minutes with a 24-3 lead and the Packers gave up 70 yards or so toward the end ( game was almost over granted) and Minnesota numbers are skewed considering when they got their yards and its not over yet, but, close but still,it would have been nice to see them pick up a few 1st downs and put them away quick.

I was really Disappointed in the way a couple players played, it's almost like they were content with 10-6 and making the playoffs :( Was it just me or did anyone else believe that there were a few players that just Quit today ! I am excited we made the playoffs, but wanted more from our team, even if it was a loss ! I don't understand how you don't put Bethel Mcloid Thompson in at the 4th quarter and let's see that rifle of an arm he has, lets look at are depth we have at QB ! The way it looks now, I don't know how we don't go into next year without a New Quarter Back, either Free Agent or another Rookie . Yes I think it's worth giving ponder another year, but he needs someone to push him ! I believe you've seen the last of a few players on this team, Joe Webb, Jerome Simpson, Michael Jenkins and much much more, including Bill Musgrave will most likely be shown the Door ! This Offense has underperformed, and if it wasn't for Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin we would probably finished the year at 4-12 ! I know Joe Webb hasn't throwed a pass all year, he still Sucks and I don't think he's any better than BMT ! Time to get ready for 2013 :) Skol Vikes !!!!!!!

Congratulations Eric, the twelfth man was evident almost from the get go. About the only time I got to cheer was on the first series, Minnesota field goal, GB 3 and out. After that, it was a rout. Rodgers had plenty of time, and he was always finding someone open. I thought they abandoned AD way too early, especially when watching Webb throw the ball, at least he was consistently off, lol.
Tripping over a downed Mathews for a sack pretty much summed up the game for Webb. Had a couple brews and a brat before the game, then got to wear my neighbors’ beer, she was wasted.
Good luck in San Fran.

Thanks 40,,other then Minn.losing the game and wearing a beer from your wasted neighbor, did you enjoy Lambeau, the game and the whole experience ( considering it was in GB as a Viking fan).I was wondering how they would deal with Peterson and Webb with hardly any time to plan for him,Not to many qb can run a 4.4 40 but yea,him tripping over Mathews pretty much summed up Minn night after that first drive.
It was a very solid year for Minn for sure and if you guys improve on that, things will be pretty bright! We will need to play a very solid, complete 60 minutes to beat SF in SF for sure, but, it can be done, they just have to play a whole game. They were pretty impressive shutting down Adrian for sure.Only Peterson can p/u 99 yards and it being considered shut down,What a great back he is!

I was by myself, completely surrounded by Green and Gold, and three Packer fans showed up in front of me and asked everyone around me why I was there, LOL. I told one of them he should have bought the seat if he didn't want me there. A great experience, I enjoyed everything but the game. The fans around me kept trying to high five me, but I told them not till the second half, then in the second half I was slapping hands with most of my tormentors. My waterproof hunting pants came in handy, lol.

Oh, and I was wearing a Chad Greenway jersey too, and really surprised to see so many Viking fans.
The drunkest guy I saw was wearing purple, but that lush of a Packer girl next to me wasn't feeling any pain. A few times she had three beers, one on the ground and one in each hand. She kept trying to get me to take one, but I had a 100 mile ride, so I politely denied the request.

if the vikings can put 34 points on gb then the 9er's can put 50 on that lame defense, just run the ball - they have showed they can not stop the run - 3 games for 500 yards, what a joke.

<quoted text>Both defenses will have the same game plan in the respect of keeping the other qb in the pocket.AR is very hard to stop when he gets outside of the tackles ( many qbs are, but, more so with Aaron).I agree with you in that Minnesota more then likely cant match points with GB,so if AP has a nice game,Harvin can step up and make some plays along with Rudolph and Minnesota can play some clock control football and not turn it over,Minn. has a good chance of winning.GB on their side NEED to control Minn. front 7 and able to run the football.I dont expect GB to pile up rushing yards,BUT, i would like to see them average 3.5 per carry ( and not 1 carry of 40 yards and nothing else)as GB needs to control some clock as well ( not as crucial to win as it is for Minn) but it would be nice if GB can run a bit and take hits away from Minn.front 7 and off of Rodgers.I do think GB oline is playing better then they did a few weeks back when the 2 meet, but, needless to say Ponder throwing an INT in the endzone certainly didnt help,Stay away from that and Minn. will be in it.My only other question is How can Adrian Peterson ( Who is one of my favorite players,i respect the hell out the guy!)or how well can he play with a groin injury and a rib injury? Greg Jennings had a groin and it took him out for a several weeks,so AP, isnt as bad for now, but,if he does aggravate it,Minn. chances of winning have severely dropped.BOTTOM LINE IS, Who wants it more,GB is in, a win and they get a bye,Minn. wins they are in,they lose then they are gone if Chicago wins,or if Minn and Chi lose and Dallas wins ect.

They also gave it up to Adrian Peterson ( no offense to Frank Gore) but hes not as good.Yes,SF has better WR,Oline and QB.We will see,it will be a challenge for sure, but, also,Its now the playoffs, 400 yards in 2 regular season games, they held him to 99 in the playoff games and 30-35 or so came late when the game was decided. Also consider the big hit if Justin Smith isnt playing on the def. line of SF.Seattle wasnt to intimidated a few weeks ago when they beat SF around and im sure GB wont be intimidated either.ITs going to be a fun game. Also consider how many games they played w/o Woodson,Mathews ect and the defense still played well.2 200 yards games to Peterson,,,a 112 yard game to Gore in week 1....otherwise no 100 yard rushers ( individual)

A real joke is a Viking fan disguising himself as 9ers fan.

It is joke to REAL 9ers fans. I am not sure what type of fan you are, I would guess your favorite team is who ever plays the Packers and then maybe the Vikings.

The 9ers are a good team maybe you should just make the switch for good. It will rid you of that bad taste in your mouth from cheering for the Vikings.

IMO Peterson is the greatest RB ever, so not even the greatest RB ever can save this team. It is like when the Vikes got Favre... one of the greatest QBs EVER having his best statistical season EVER and still they can not get to the Super Bowl. This why you need to cheer for a new team and stop the crying everyday. The Vikings are making you miserable, they are source of your anger and sadness you project onto Packer fans. It is not the Packers fault the Vikings are not able to keep up, it is the Vikings fault. Plus if you cheer for the 9ers full time you won't look like such a tool all the time. Bandwagon jumpers are the biggest tools of them all.
