I am far from counting you out.My point is Minnesota is a much better team at Home then on the road.I predicted Minn to win 6 or 7,Maybe 8 if things broke right and you won 10,so yes,you did a nice job.
Now, Tell me more then a hand full of you guys over in Viking land, picked Minnesota to make the playoffs?
Ive given much credit to Minn for a job well done,When you beat GB,i congratulated you first thing and job well done,i just dont think Minn will beat GB again.Ponder did an exceptional job last weekend, but, can he repeat that again? AP got his 200 yard game twice so he will get his ( ok he hit 199 instead) yards, but, again keep him from huge runs all game and GB should be alright.Im also hoping Randall Cobb being back after missing last weekends game, also Alex Green coming back will help as well.We will see soon enough though
Agreed they played great and got like five games more then I guessed.
I will say this, if Harvin was here for that game I would take the power running game over GB because they have shown that they can't stop our running

The sloppier the field the more I like the Vikes. Right now GB by 10.
But you better play or look out AP will put his stamp on the game.

Youre right about that pretty much the only one that backed me up was EZG and a couple fans Im not familiar with.I understand youre a hopeless Packers fan.You do say some positive things but you still dont think the Vikings are on the same level as the Packers You kind of insinuated that the only reason we won on the road was because those teams were in a slump. To be honest with you we dominated the Packers in Lambeau last time but Ponders interceptions and the lack of offense killed us.He seems to have overcome that.Who says that Rodgers can repeat his performance from last week.We took allot out of him.The Vikings are hungry and were hot right now.Regardless of what happens its going to be a battle. We didnt win any of our games because of them being in a slump. We won cause we were the better team that day.

Do you really think that.By getting Brad Childress for offensive coordinator?Ha HA.Then drafting a thirty year old quarterback? That team was going nowhere. They ruined Colt Mccoy.

You hit the nail on the head......can Ponder repeat that. If he just manages the game and doesn't turn it over I for one will be thrilled...lol. Hey, 43 straight games without a 100 yd rushing performance by your squad..........when you guys gonna get decide to get a running game? Another stat that jumped out at me today, your last few playoff games at Lambeau haven't been exactly automatic.

All fair points.
100 yard rusher is because GB uses 3 backs and they all get a fair amount of carries,GB wont get a 100 yard back most likely,BUT, as a team they have been rushing for over 100 yards.
You are right, their home record during the playoffs sucks lately,BUT, again, all but 1 game was with Favre at qb.AR has had only 1 playoff game at Lambeau and he is 0-1 ( last year vs NY) and they won the SB,so its not like he lost to schmucks.Last week DuJuan Harris ran 14 times for 70 yards, thats a 5 per carry average with no huge runs to squew the numbers.Like we agree on,Can Ponder match last weeks game? If he can I like Minn. chances,if he turns it over,i really like GB chances, esp. if they cash in on it ( obvious points, but, for 2 teams like this, its a bigger point)

Vikings have to key on the intangibles because the Packers have NOTHING tangible to key on

I think the Vikings have a great chance in this one, as this isn't one of GB's best teams.....

No, it's not regardless of what happens. If AP goes down, so do the Vikes, period.

Well you boyz got your wish. I hope this game took everything from the Vikings and have nothing left next week.
Congrats to the Vikings on making the playoffs. See you next week. In GB!
I like the way this is shaping up, with all the experts fawning all over Aaron and GB. If there ever was a chance to play the underdog to the hilt, this is it for Minnesota. Just got done catching the waning moments on NFL rerun and subsequent locker room celebration. Very confident teams can over come much adversity. Aaron will most likely have his usual stellar game, so Minnesota will need contributions from not only the most obvious contributor, AD, but also Gerhart, Rudolph, and the rest of our receivers.
Woodson has always been a money player, if he can one more time step it up when it counts, he will cause a fumble/interception at a crucial juncture of the game and we're toast.
Happy New Year to you!

Yeah.........a few thoughts........I think the Vikes match up well..........GB gave up the most sacks in the NFC and the Vikes get after the QB with the best of 'em..........plus with the running offense Minny has they have the potential to control the clock and keep GB off the field. What has me worried is that GB IS NOW HEALTHY and with all 4 of those receivers on the field at the same time it is gonna be a tall order for Minny to contain them. Not to mention their D leader is now back-Woodson.
AP has 230 yds. after contact in the two games against GB this season.........they gotta do better in that area. I also think playin' in the cold may not be as much of a dis-advantage for the Vikes as some may think........hittin' AP in that cold weather, I am sure, is something that GB D is not lookin' forward to......especially Woodson comin' off that collarbone injury.
I would love to see AP as a return guy in this game primarily on kickoffs.......even if it's only once or twice. Harvin is out and it's always a good idea to have your best players on the field as much as possible.........he is capable of running one to the house every time he is out there, no matter what formation!!!!!

Good call on the running back by committee........I guess when you rotate 3 backs like that ONE 100 yd. rusher doesn't seem so important in terms of taking some pressure off the QB.

Happy New Year!

Saturday night (Sunday 3am for me here in Finland) can't get here soon enough. This should be a real fun game to watch. I sure never gave the Vikings much of a chance and they have proven me wrong several times this season. They are playing some good football. I won't make the mistake of looking past them again and I am sure the Packers won't either after the ass whoopin AD left on them last week. I just have this feeling something crazy is about to happen... either way may the best team win and good luck to the Vikes.

...Off topic but I think Greg Jennings might be playing for the Vikings next year. I hope he puts up another good audition Saturday.

They will be tailgating in the Parking lot by noon if the lot is open that early.40 got tickets for this one and i think he will have a great time!
Game Day at Lambeau is always a great time! I just wish i was able to go!
I do agree 100% the Packers could lose and thats why they play the game.If Ponder has another terrific game like he did last week and Peterson has another good yardage game ( doesnt ness. need 200 yards) it will be tough...If GB gets off to a slow start on top of it,it very well may spell a loss for GB.
Rodgers will have his more then likely,If Green Bay can get off to a quicker start,i think GB wins it.Rodgers played a good game and has played that well before so its not like he cant do it or hasnt done it and with Randall Cobb being back that will def. help big! Folks seem to forget Cobb ( GB questionably best WR) didnt play opposite Driver and this game Cobb should be back and that is HUGE!
Charles Woodson is more psychological than physical play, meaning, i dont think Woodson will contribute a whole lot with 2 months or so with no football, but, the fact hes back, may jump start them a bit as well
Lastly..........
Ponder has never qb in a playoff game and its on the road and that has to count in the equation a bit.
Rodgers is going to start his 2nd home playoff game,so he hasnt a lot of experience at home ( 1 playoff game at home in his career,as the SB run in 10 were all road games and 09 was in Arizona), but id like to think the experience is now there. Its going to be close I think but GB should be on the positive end of the score here.I dont take stock in the Packers are favored,Minn. players prob dont care if they are not favored but will try to use it to their advantage with some lame we are not appreciated type thing and GB players prob. dont give a hoot if they are favored,This is an NFC North rivalry,Battle between teams that hate each other but respect each other.

Running back by committee, thats the term i was trying to get to,it just wasnt coming to mind!.
anyway..last week, i think they used 2,Ryan Grant started and ran only 2 or 3 i think, DuJuan Harris ran 17 times and Alex Green didnt play and i honestly dont remember Kuhn carrying the ball,if he did,it was only a few at most.Harris with his 14 carries,p/u 70 yards for a nice 5 per carry average and with no huge runs, the numbers arent skewed to the point where he had a 20 yard runs and a pile of 2s,he was fairly consistent.IF your a Packer fan, thats positive,if your a Viking fan,its nothing that cant be stopped, but, running like that makes it enough that the vikes Def. has to respect it to a point.

I'm looking forward to a good game. The Vikings showed that they are ready to make a statement, and like a lot of us I didn't give them the credit they deserved this year. You can argue that they are a one trick pony, but that pony's been winning games when it counted.

I really think a key will be if the Packers can get in Ponder's face more and rattle him into mistakes. I didn't see any of that last week. He doesn't need to be outstanding, he just needs to not make mistakes. If the Packers let him play, he may surprise us again.

I gave up making predictions a long time ago, so none coming from me. It's the playoffs, and we all know anything can happen.
