Elimination game day..........Ponder needs to make way better decisions than he did against GB last time they played, no turnovers and him making a couple plays with his feet would help as well, especially on 3rd downs to keep the chains moving and keep drives alive..........can't match GB score for score so possession time will be crucial if they are to win. Having one of these wideouts making a play or two downfield wouldn't hurt either. Ponder throws better on the run, GET HIM OUTSIDE THE POCKET often........plus he's more apt toget positive yds. by running upfield if he's moving. If they control time of poss. and don't make turnovers at critical times I give the edge to the VIKES due to it being a home game coupled with a elimination game. GO VIKES.

Both defenses will have the same game plan in the respect of keeping the other qb in the pocket.AR is very hard to stop when he gets outside of the tackles ( many qbs are, but, more so with Aaron).I agree with you in that Minnesota more then likely cant match points with GB,so if AP has a nice game,Harvin can step up and make some plays along with Rudolph and Minnesota can play some clock control football and not turn it over,Minn. has a good chance of winning.GB on their side NEED to control Minn. front 7 and able to run the football.I dont expect GB to pile up rushing yards,BUT, i would like to see them average 3.5 per carry ( and not 1 carry of 40 yards and nothing else)as GB needs to control some clock as well ( not as crucial to win as it is for Minn) but it would be nice if GB can run a bit and take hits away from Minn.front 7 and off of Rodgers.I do think GB oline is playing better then they did a few weeks back when the 2 meet, but, needless to say Ponder throwing an INT in the endzone certainly didnt help,Stay away from that and Minn. will be in it.My only other question is How can Adrian Peterson ( Who is one of my favorite players,i respect the hell out the guy!)or how well can he play with a groin injury and a rib injury? Greg Jennings had a groin and it took him out for a several weeks,so AP, isnt as bad for now, but,if he does aggravate it,Minn. chances of winning have severely dropped.BOTTOM LINE IS, Who wants it more,GB is in, a win and they get a bye,Minn. wins they are in,they lose then they are gone if Chicago wins,or if Minn and Chi lose and Dallas wins ect.

I dont think ive ever rooted for Minnesota, unless it benefited GB,Ill have to try that sometime!:) Good luck to you too! The team that wants it more should win it! Looks like NY season is coming to an end as Chicago is up 17-3.

Good luck Vikes. All best for AD to break the record after the game is already over and GB is going to win. I would rather CHI make the playoffs they suck, the Vikes are on the up and up. I like the fight of the Vikes, they never gave up after many gave up on them. I gave up on them and they proved me wrong, good for them. But now it must end.
My wish -- Packers get up 35 - 3 at half,Packers D sits back in prevent and AD is able to run all over the place for the record but not the win.

Yea but that would be as bad as Favre squating down to give Strahan the sack record back when. AP may still break the record and GB still win it,Didnt AP run for over 200 yards a few weeks ago and GB still beat them? So we can both get what we want ( except Minn. wants to win to make the playoffs)

So we can both get what we want ( except Minn. wants to win to make the playoffs) I didn't mean the Packers should "lay down" I just meant they would play prevent to "WIN" the game anyway, as they would any other week, which would allow AD to run wild but not win the game.

I knew what you meant but if GB does that, its like the Strahan record. NOW, GB wins puts the Bears in the playoffs! Its not like the Bears will do anything if they get there. The Bears cant beat teams with 500 Records BUT, its almost guarantees Lovie keeps his job and the Whiner keeps his job as qb and as long as the whiner is the qb in Chicago they wont win shit.( my appologies to Laughing Bears fan!)

If a team is winning by a large margin (+21) and plays prevent defense to keep the lead and not let a team back in it without using the clock up, it is completely normal and expected play calling. **It is NOT one man changing the play out of a run play and laying down for one man to get a sack. We agree on most things eric but I guess this one is will escape us :) Its all good though we both have our sites on winning the Super Bowl and that is all that matters, not the AD record, not the bye week, but being NFL Champs! Enjoy the game and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours! All the BEST!

Happy New Year to you and yours as well! All my best as well! Minn grabs the early lead.AP started but right before the FG,they seem to want to throw it more instead of letting Peterson run.Cant tire the defense doing that,Yes its only the 1st possession but..Now lets see If GB can drive and match Minn and quiet the crowd down and grab some momentum and heres to hoping Finley can have a monster game

Nope we dont have to agree on everything and thats fine! We do have alot in common here.Looking to go into the playoffs hot and ready to go and drive for a Super Bowl championship.Nothing wrong with discussion and disagreements,Its when the name calling starts and all that garbage starts is when it gets out of hand! all is good,im just pissed Chicago gets in if GB wins! and if we lose ( which very well may happen) Minn. is in and we play them next week more then likely and at least we can get even with them

If your a viking fan,so far so good! Nice job so far.If your a Chicago fan or a GB fan,not so much. Still a long way to go but you dont want to fall to far behind if your GB. Minnesota seems to be playing like the hot team so far and may be a very tough out if they win this game, beating them next week will be a problem

IF this keeps up GB and Minn eliminated Chi and next week GB and Minn should face eachother with a chance to eliminate the other one,SO 1 of these 2 can eliminate 2 rivals in a 2 week span

We are all good.We need to open the 2nd half with a TD to get back into this. Minn. is 6-1 at home Minn is 2-6 on the road,so beating Minn at Lambeau next week if it came down to it,should happen
