<quoted text>We seen last draft that without the previous collective bargining agreement how many QB's went high, though. Now, with the rookie wage scale & this season's successes of young QB's, teams will be even more willing to go for it. at least 5 teams would take one of the top 3 qb's in round one. That's supply & demand. With the NFL going "arena" there's an even larger need for a QB with relevence.
miami, seattle, washington, cleveland, kansas city, arizona, denver all seem like candidates that could use the excitement of an RGIII or maybe Barkley. Flacco is out of the franchise QB mold of late in regards to mobility. AR is mobile & has defined what teams want. Ponder, Locker, Newton are all more along the Rodgers (favre) mobility & throwing on the run outside the pocket-wise. QB's without that like a flacco & a gabbert seem to struggle more with teams teeing off. RGIII may go ahead of Barkley (i'd sure take him before barkley). RGIII throws better than newton & newton's successes will inflate his value. He plays in the big 12, not the wac or mountain west & he beat oklahoma. I doubt that's a big knock as sam bradford also played in the big 12 ( & isn't mobile & is struggling this year)
Rg3 can stand on his own two feet.
Riding the coattails of my 2011 Heisman pick and number one in the draft SUPERMAN, is not needed.

TopiX HISTORY, can be made. Avant can be the first forum member EVER, to pick the Heisman winner two years in a row before half the college season is over.

two good center prospects worhy of a first round pick. two outstanding guards worthy of a first rounder & 4, maybe 5 tackles worth a first round selection.
I think we'll pick 2. trade back to 4 for pick 36. trade back to 9 for pick 41. heck, do it again, if we can, trade back to 17 for 49.
1.17, 2.34, 2.36, 2.41, 2.49, 3.66, plus maybe a 3 for rice in comp & a 5th in edwards. 4.99
guard, mlb, tackle, center, nose tackle, wr, wr.
I'd also consider moving Jared Allen. maybe get two firsts from cinci or NE as both run 4-3's & both have two firsts this year. I know it sucks, but then we can take a corner & safety, too. or even another guard. Griffen looks like he can play a bit, but the pass rush would suffer.
Don't know how well we can imitate McDanials from denver in trading back.(without the trade back forward for tebow thing.)
I liked the Vikings thinking when we got Chester Taylor,a backup with talent and contract up.
Same with V.S.(te).
Maybe they should look at some OL backups who want to start but can't because of of talent above them on their current teams.
We can save draft picks and sign for lower dollars.
Anybody becoming available who fits the bill?

Pittsburgh has no OL.Big Ben has about 2 seconds,he then simply throws the defenders off him and nails Wallace on a 50 yard bomb.
Quick release qb's,P.Manning,Brady,Rodgers neutralize pass rushers routinely.
I'm not sold on we need a lot because we can run and stop the run.Fa and the right draft picks, turns us back on the right road.In a season? No, but in 2 or 3 for sure.

Childress, some guys are talking about the elite guard Nicks getting signed here as a good move. But yeah, we don't need elite offensive line players to be successful. If we drafted 3 of them high this year, we'd be set for 12 years, i imagine. 2nd rounders are high enough for oline positions.

Pro Football Talk has a section on who we should take.If you hit on it and then after the jump, arrow down and a guy has his selections without a trade and with a trade with Cleveland who need a qb.He thinks we finish with the 3rd pick.interesting scenario.Check it out.

That would be after you hit on Minnesota Vikings, and then Daily Norsemen.
No mention of a comp pick for Rice.Just Jaymee Mitchel Cle. and with the Giants for Rosenfels and the db.You'll have to hit continue reading this story (Viking draft) and arrow down quite a bit.

ah, my bad.

Yeah, we'll get a compensatory pick for Rice & edwards. with rice on ir now, it's maybe a 4. edwards is maybe a 4 or 5.

ok, found it. I like the trade down mock quite a bit. I'm not sold on Kalil improving the team dramatically & so trading Kalil for DeCastro, G & mike Adams, OT makes a lot of sense to me. One offensive lineman won't do much, imo.

OK PF..........U ON IT..........GOOD WORK.......Kalil would help..........You have to assume, ugh, Ponder is the guy..........get him some help........I state the obvious tho.

Did u catch LF wired ..NFL Network? I think he may be too nice..........Sometimes a HC HAS TO BE A 100% BITCH..........Curse, beat your chest and let your players know that you are in charge. LF struggles with the basics..........Still an upgrade from our last one tho.

^ Yeah, we need a serious talent infusion, especially on defense. We gotta trade down from 2 for a truck load, including a 2013 #1 in case Ponder doesn't improve.
