Maybe Cassel will play better this year.. With DE Everson Griffen being resigned The team isn't looking great on paper. Griffen had 5.5 sacks & 27 tackles last season & he still will be spliting his time on the field.. 42M for guy that splits time on the field,. wow I know the Vikes are looking at the Bengals DE Michael Johnson to replace Allen & if that happen signing Griffen would mean they could skip drafting a DE now but can Griffen be that guy that puts pressure on the QB, He hasn't showed he can so far. With Cassel & Griffen the Vikes have put out 52M in two players that is going to do nothing for the team in the future.

Vikings made a HUGE mistake by hiring Caldwell. Their on a downhill slide. AP will demand trade during or after season.

Cassell will be fine with an improved defense. Were on the right track with getting younger but we need to start getting better with our later picks.Fusco is the only one thats starting that I know of, maybe Audi Cole.Gerhart,Cook,Brandon Burton,Stephen Burton,Webb and numerous others all gone.We need a better draft this year or were going to find oureselves with cap problems.Peterson and Jennings are getting old and were gonna need a quarterback back, wide reciever, and running back.Doesnt do allot of good to get ten draft picks if 6 of them never touch the field.
