Week 7??? Really??? Try writing something that is relevant. Rookie DB needs time to develops. He has shown some signs of skill. That's what should be expected. Anything more is a bonus. Sure he has had some struggles, but give him a chance to acclimate. I hate the league is built on instant gratification. I miss the days of developing players.

now, i can agree to disagree. yes it's early and dj hayden needs time to develop, and has shown signs. and he has been getting compliments from his team which is natural. kind of like the way mcfadden does still to date. hayden also gets compliments from outsiders (apposing teams) here and there which is cool. and i'm sure mckenzie and whatever scouts and coaching picked a nice guy. hard working and wants to win. but i gotta say, mckenzie said he had no problem picking tyrann matheiu, w/past problems and all. so he new t mathieu was good, but he chose good vs evil. well, i still hope he's right. but he's not winning the race. truthfully? nobody wants players that take time to develop anymore? tell me coaches want that? i'd rather see hayden playing like t matheiu right now! nobody wants, specially? a #1 pick sitting on the bench or slow learning? cause, chances are, he may never develop to be that elite player. dmac is that player right now?! so, i can agree hayden needs time to develop, it's just upsetting he has shown little signs but not enough to even be a starter. maybe i should re-word it and call it, or him,'upsetting', so far. imo. his health problems i'm not so concerned about. it's his time of development for supposedly being an elite type player. if he was a way later rnd pick i would understand. but 3rd overall? and the other guys are doing that much greater? i don't like those waiting games. because of that, he's a weak link. that's not good for the team. he's lucky RAIDERS (D) is playing good enough they they can afford to let play go by here and there on a constant basis!(lol).
what should i say? take your time hayden?

Watch the film folks, he always in the area and has a chance to make the play. What does that tell you? He has the skills, but not the smarts. Look at the PI in KC, he was right there and if he turned his head around he would of got credit for a perfect break up. He has all the skills, not he needs to get his head in the game and make the pro decisions and stop playing like he is in college. If he were in college, he'd be killing it. Dude is still very raw and did miss a huge chunk of football the past two seasons. I'd say he will be starting #2 DB by the end of the year.

Hayden is playing good ball. He started a lil unsure of himself but, has picked up as of late. Even thru his struggles, he's played good coverage but, wouldn't get his head around. He missed mini camps, ota's, training camp so, he's basically learning on the fly. He's being thrown in to the lions & being judged for minor inconsistencies, unfairly! He's not a liability out there, he's coming along well. I think he just needs to mix up press man, off man &, fake press &, shadow his WR sometimes. When they don't know what to expect, now you're playing head games wit them &, not the opposite. But for what Tarver is asking of Hayden, he's doing fine. And That shouldn't have been a PI, the ball was uncatchable unless Bowe was gonna run thru Hayden like the defender did Moore!

I actually have been impressed by Hayden. I mean, he isn't on his way to a Pro Bowl or anything, but he hasn't been beaten very often and appears very solid.

maybe i'm watching the wrong guy!(lol). they call it "the fairy tale ending story". so let's see how it all turns out. i hope mckenzie didn't just feel sorry for him to give him an opportunity? i understand mckenzie's phylosophy of getting nice guys hard working that want to play, but he may have passed up other good players that are kicking a.s right now. we gotta wait for the frog to turn into a prince? somebody kiss him please!
hayden is a RAIDER, i hope he turns out to be great.

I really haven't seen a rookie really stick out this year. Or at least one that I think would be a big difference maker for us.

I been impressed wit Hayden yeah he had his struggles early on just like any rookie should have he missed all otas minicamp plus miss damn near his whole last year wit his injury he's getting better each game he just needs to turn his head around and know wen to be aggressive and not too aggressive he's gonna be fine yeah he was a 12th pick but he was thrown in the fire wit out no training camp he got the skills he will have a better second half season mark my words plus he guarding the number one wr on the opposing team every week that's gonna make him better trust me and he doing way better than dee milliner is the suppose to be number one cb out of that draft plus he staying on the field not getting hurt like milliner plus milliner got benched as well this year too!!!

he's doing okay R2b, i'm a lil harsh and crytical but i'm expecting just a lil more. but i do agree with everything you wrote for his excuse to not be top notch right now. yes, time will tell. we have others to take his place when it's not going well. there is no doubt he needs "play time" to get better. it's just that when he does get play time, we're a lil vulnerable. meaning? scoring chances or gained yds for the apposing team.
