"It's a great opportunity to coach on the collegiate level," Gray said. That's ultimately where I wanted to be.
Mr. Gray was on Pete Priscos show on Monday afternoon, I believe it was and he stated that he had been looking and interviewing for some time for a job at the collegiate level. He sounds a little disingenuous able his employment plans. Oh and as a FAMU coach he stated that he WILL BE recruiting this area.

"If this happens, it will be very detrimental to the children here," Gray said. "It's a bad situation to even think about. Athletics is one of the ways out for these kids. Plus, you think about the scholarship money lost. What colleges are going to recruit Jacksonville's athletes if there are no teams? That's scholarship money out of a lot of kids' pockets."

As I have stated before the kids to whom scholarship money would have been given will still get that money because they WILL BE playing for some school.

my ass this has anything to do with POSSIBLE budget cuts to the sports program..they have mentioned many scenarios as to where they could cut from the budget..you dont see the art teachers bailing out...you dont see the bus companies taking off....somehow i doubt he interviewed and was hired within the past week....he is using that as an excuse to not look bad for bailing on the kids after one year and to get free media exposure.
