239 players? More like 239 "has-been" players. Talk about a bunch of haters. Who gives a flying FUqqCK about some dumb ass poll? We'll never care; Favre plays to win football games not polls. Favre's place in Canton is already cemented. We,(yes I'm from Minnesota), needed a quarterback. Tavaris Jackson along with our 2nd-rate coach Childress were on a path to nowhere. SI can take their poll and shove it up their ass. And to all the cheeseheads you can shove it up your ass, too. Looking forward to kicking packer ass at Lambeau Field, NOV 1 be sure to mark your calendars you loser packer-backers. Favre is ours now, get over it Wisconsin

Overrated? I think the poll should have been titled "Who are you most jealous of because Favre gets alot of press and you don't" poll. Are you kidding? One of the best QB's to ever play the game, not to mention his consecutive start streak (at the QB position too!!). C'mon man!

"Who gives a flying FUqqCK about some dumb **** poll? We'll never care;"
Obvious you do since you responded to the article. People might take you more seriously if you avoided the constant swearing and baiting. It makes you look like a child that uses swearing to act tough. Get a life loser!!!!! |

All you Favrre bashers remember this....No-one...NO-ONE ever did more with less. No player aside from Reggie White will ever go into the Hall Of Fame beside him. He made average players good and good players better. He didn't play in a dome for 99% of his career and as I said didn't have A+ guys playing with him. Talk about over-rated? Troy Aikman. Good QB that had a great team around him. When all is said and done, Aikman will have at LEAST 6 guys on that dynastic team go in the HOF fame with him. Imagine Favre playin' catch with Jerry Rice or Marvin Harrison or having Emmit Smith to hand the ball to? The mind boggles. And as for the interception "record," Montana has....what 139 picks, threw the ball 5300 times or so....Favre has 300 plus but has thrown the ball over 9300 times. The percentage isn't all that great: Favre 3.2 and Montana 2.6. Favre is special and I been watching football since the 50's. Enjoy his play while you can cause there will never be another one like him.

1 Favre, Romo, TO. All these guys draw a crowd with everything they do, and yes, get too much attention. Funny how self-fulfilling the survey results are... |

1 Not so...... No one is over-rating Favre except for those who ride coat tails of headlines and winners. Favre, by no means over=rates himself. In fact he is so humble to be on a good team full of talent on both sides of the ball, he even states he is not the player he was. I don't over-rate Farve. His arm is still good, his head is screwed on right meaning he is aware that the interception and the fumble are a bad idea, unlike the his backups. He is a winner and he still knows how to win. Yet he isn't the 300 yard every game passer that Farve fanatics make him out to be. In some cases, he isn't even the 200 yard per game passer. The name of the game is winning and he has been a very good general carrying out the game plan. He brings more enthusiasm and confidence to the table than most quarterbacks in the league. But, just remember, only two teams go to the Super Bowl and only one team wins it. If he doesn't make it there, he still gave me a thrill and a hope. That's not being over-rated. Over-rated comes from fans and media personnel that don't understand what certain athletes bring to the table at certain points in their career. To sat Favre is over-rated only can come from the mouth of someone who wishes him to fail, U know like someone who simply hates a culture or an individual and wishes them nothing but failure. Favre is simply being and elderly athlete playing a game that is fun and exciting to him. He boasts nothing and knows that losse will be in the future. All he can do is give it 100 percent and that is just what he does. If anyone is over=rated it is those that think anyone cares about what someone has to say about Brett Favre being over-rated. That verse only emits from the mouths of the stupid. |
