Yea, and my wife’s best friend is black and she wasn’t well off either. Yet somehow she managed to get her masters degree AND have an awesome house plus a great job. Hmm, I wonder how that happened...
Well... she probably had pride, self-respect, class, goals, a good work ethic, and most importantly, parents who loved her and taught her values.

I admire her achievements, given the adversities she faced. She is to be respected.

<quoted text>I am just pointing out the neighborhood thugs are pawns in a much bigger game.If you can't see that is not an endorsement I don't know what to tell you. The turf war would be gone if we did not have the fat cats profiting on their misery. The drug war you have been sold makes no sense. We have no fewer people using drugs. If you want drugs, they are readily available. We have spent billions supposedly fighting a drug war, while government entities covertly import them and flood our neighborhoods. There is an occasional photo op where they take out the competition, but never does the supply stop.We spend many more billions locking up people who did nothing more than ingest prohibited substances, yet we keep releasing vilolent predators back on the streets. The reason they tell us is the jails are overcrowded. The inmates appear to be running the asylum.
And MY point, which for some reason you keep dismissing, is that if nobody BOUGHT the drugs, there's be no drug trade, no matter who was selling them.

People who buy and use illegal substances are responsible for these deaths. If that you, it's
you--take responsibility for it and stop looking for a bogeyman to blame.

Whatever these women did, Andrea Yarell & Gina Hunt, they didn't deserve to die. And I can't even begin to describe how horrific the deaths of innocent children feel to me. These children had their entire lives ahead of them until these men put them out just like blowing a candle. Imagine that lives are so cheap to some people, that just makes me mad and sad at the same time. I'll be tucking in and snuggling a little extra with my kids tonight, and extending our thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families.

Everyone needs to go back and read the story from the start. Those girls were not staying in that house when it was robbed with the sweatsuites and the TV. You call yourself church people well I would never want to visit your church, because they have you negative people in there. You should stop with all of those bad comments and pray for the family that had to bury their family members. This shi* is not a joke and it is starting to take over. Let them babies and their mother go in peace and how do we know that you are living the correct way? Stop talking about those women and take care of your life or just get a life and stop taking your mistakes out on others that make a mistake.

And now we have suspects.

The victims are dead - and now maybe the state will kill the perpetrators.

Drugs! Unfortunately the babies had to pay for this horrific ordeal with their life. Unbelievable. Very very sad. God bless these little angels as they rest in peace.

What is your point? Do you want a purple heart? Or wait, maybe to be proclaimed a saint? Get over yourself, you did nothing more than any loving parent would do. And it was very very very irresponsible of you to have 6 kids when you didn't have the means to provide for them.
Good Point! However, this story (fairtale) was circulated via the internet about two years ago as an inspirational piece. I was in Greenwood last year and it certainly has grown.

I will--I don't buy, sell or use illegal drugs, and that always leads to a better (and longer) life.

There was a 55 year old man (in jail) on the phone with his girlfriend who was in the house. Who lets their 14 year old daughter socialize with a thirty five year old drug dealer? and why are they surprised when she is gunned down in a drug house
ten years later?

You are not your childs friend, you are their parent, step up to the plate people, start setting some rules, enforcing those rules, take your kids to the library and make them spend some time reading, make sure they do well in school, participate in a sport, don't let them hang with elements you don't approve of, and if you approve of scum rethink that one.

I hope it was a mis-print on behalf of the Indystar, but someone please tell me WHY anyone would have $5000 worth of SWEAT SUITS in their home??? I'm not trying to ignore the bigger issue at hand, but will someone explain this waste of money to me???
Not a mistake, someone has $5000 worth of sweat suits because the person has been raised to value what you have more than what you are. Sad because someone can always steal what you have but they can't take away what you are. Get an education, be a good neighbor, a good friend, a good parent, travel, go to church, no one can take those things away from you.
