I agree with Rodgers opinion on Brett Favre. It is time to bring Favre back into he fold, so to speak. Favre was a great player for the Packers and the NFL. I have often wondered if Ron Wolf hadn't traded for Favre if he would have had the career he had? Green By gave him a chance. Sometimes I wonder how appreciative Favre is of that. He has a chip on his shoulder for Ted Thompson and all that. In my opinion, Favre went round and round on what he wanted to do. The Packers could not wait around and eventually made Rodgers the starter. Anyway, we all know that story. Rodgers is throwing out an olive branch to both Favre and the Packers and I hope it is one that will be accepted by both parties, including the fans.

Mark Murphy offered the olive branch.Coach Mc.supported it.So the ball is in Brett's court.
You cant have Brett come back to GB with an arm behind his back,he has to want to do it.You can bet the house if Favre said,he wanted to mend fences, shake hands, and lets retire his number Mark Murphy would put it in motion ( planning stage).
Im sure Ted would say lets do it(although who knows if he would mean it or be sincere when he said it) but, Mark Murphy is the boss and he wants to do it.

Bring him back, retire his number for the great years of exciting football he provided us, and make him part of the organization again. I don't understand how anyone can carry a grudge over the way he left Green Bay, a grudge that somehow in their minds, eliminates all the good years he gave us.

Welcome back Brett, and congratulations on your imminent induction in the NFL Hall of Fame.

It really is up to Brett. Listen, none of us really knows what was going through his mind when all this went down. Obviously he could still play. What it came down to was that the Packer organization had to make a decision. They decided to go with Rodgers and it paid off big time. The Packers have been blessed with great qb play the last 20+years so we shouldn't really bitch. No other team can say that. Packer fans welcome back Brett Favre with open arms. He deserves it. That being said, sumbitch shouldn't have played for the Vikings, of all teams!!! All joking aside, Brett Favre is the most high profile Packer to play for our team in the last 20 years. Aaron Rodgers is one of the most high profile players the NFL has now. Embrace both of these players for what one did and for the other who still has a lot to do before his career is over.

Yea, like i said Murphy already put it out there,so ,its in Bretts court now.I think if Brett signed with Minnesota out of other teams chatting with him i dont think there would have been as big a deal made out of it,but, the fact,His whole thing was to go straight to Minn if the Packers cut him ( they traded him to NY obviously) but look after NY,He retired, waited until July and signed with Minnesota ( he made it obvious that was the plan and to screw TT and the Packers) while it was HE holding the Packers hostage every offseason that started the whole thing.
IF TT didnt draft Rodgers and Brett retired, then folks would bitch TT didnt prepare after Brett was talking retirement for a few years blah blah blah,so TT was screwed no matter what he did.IF didnt draft AR and BF retired,TT was screwed..TT traded BF to NY and was screwed still.
We cant force Brett to come back.Put him in a hammer lock or something. When or IF Brett wants to do this,im sure he will get in touch with Mark Murphy,or someone within and they will get it done.
