Getting ready for Opening kickoff! Should be a good one!
Chicago with their win over Minnesota puts the Vikes back and a GB win is needed to stay even with Chi and 2 up on Minn.Although if GB loses,1 game behind Chicago with a head to head coming up in a few weeks isn't a real big deal football wise but a GB win tonight will even them back up with Chicago and 2 up on Minnesota and playing Minn next week,GB can essentially end Minn chances at the division and put Minn back to 500 at 6-6,which means Minn will have to win out to reach 10 and a WC ( most likely,) so Minn will be in a do or die situation for the most part, but, first things first..Lets go out and play a total all around game tonight in all facets of it.We need to play a complete game tonight,Solid vs the run, pressure on Eli,keep Cruz from big plays..Protect AR with our patched up Oline vs NY very good def. line and have a decent running game tonight.A very good team defensively,NY should be a tougher team then most to run on,but,if GB can put together some decent yardage on the ground and few successful screens and can open up the passing game,I think GB can be successful.NY has struggled vs Cin going into the bye as well as a game or 2 before, but, coming off a bye and late November and the team usually gets hot in December so they can be a dangerous team tonight,No Clay Mathews,so lets hope Dezmond Moses can have a productive game tonight and we can pressure Eli and force some quicker then he would like throws.

Hey Eric. Very disappointed in last night's game. Packers looked bad in every aspect of the game. What troubles me most is they got beat at what I consider the most important parts of the team, the offensive and defensive lines. The Giants d-line manhandled the Packers o-line and pressured Rodgers all night while the Giants o-line gave Manning all kinds of time to throw the ball. Sure, injuries to the Packers have to be accounted for, but if we don't see improvement in both these areas the Packers will be in trouble. All of their remaining opponents have above average pass rushers with the Vikings having one of the best backs in the League. These are 2 things the Packers have had trouble with all year. If Forte is healthy he'll be a load as will Johnson of the Titans. Still giving up too many 2nd and 3rd long plays which can be attributed to little pash rush and poor tackling. Let's hope the players and coaching staff get this figured out and the Packers get on a roll their remaining games of which 4 of those are against division opponents. This team is still a contender but needs to show a lot of improvement across the board to get where we all want to see them.

Judging by the Packers performance last night I would say they are in the "Lets go golfing mode" come playoff time

IM disappointed as well.Im just chalking it up to we just dont match up well with NYG.One can argue,Chicago has the best defensive front 4,some would say Det.Some would say Minn. Some would say NYG,but, have you seen Chic.Minn or Det give the Packers as much trouble as NYG have the past few meetings as far as pass rush?.GB is a bad matchup for Chicago,as GB has beaten CHicago 5 s traight, including the NFC title game ect,it sucks but for some reason it happens sometimes.NOW, the good news.NYG are not a division game, the most important games are coming up.Minn and Det,then @Chi and GB hasnt lost a division game since the early 10 season,so i believe its expected GB will win all 3,then its TEnn and finish with Minn but by the last game,we should have the division or a playoff spot rapped up AND we get Clay Mathews back very soon,Woodson very soon ect.NYG get hot around now, coming off a bye and we jsut dont match up well with them, hense, we got beat, just like last year playoff game..Win out and the NFC north goes to GB,just have to play football and do it,just have to win.Seattle is looking at both corners being suspended,so Chicago lucked out once again, but, again, i expected Chic. to beat Sea and the next game,GB should win the next 2 and going into Soldier field,Chi at 10-3,GB at 9-4 and i expect a Packer victory and tie it up with 2 games left,Tenn adn Minn are both winable as well.Plus who knows if Chicago will win vs Seattle at home,a few banged up starters and i cant forsee Seattle giving Chi 18 pts in T.O. or a chip punt of 20 yards and Chicago starting at the opp. 30 or whatever.Either way, stay 1 behind Chicago or better going into Chi and GB is in good shape

HEY PACKER BACKER- even with our makeshift lines i dont see any worries about minn.We will handle them fine. They arent anywhere near what the giants are so not to worry.Com es playoff time thats when the coaching staff has to become wizards and figure out how to beat san fran and the giants somehow someway but in our division we will be fine.

The Packers don"t match up well with either the Giants or 49ers who I think have the best defensive pass rushers in the NFC as a group. Rodgers needs time to go through his reads and progressions and these 2 teams are very good at disrupting a QB's rythym. It would be nice to get a sustainable running game going too. Is Benson due back anytime soon or is he officially done for the season? I don't remember what his status is. It doesn't help the o-line if the other guys know that the Packers are in pass mode. Defensively, again, not getting much pressure on passing downs and the tackling has taken a step back from earlier this season. The db's are performing better, but, once again they can't cover somebody all day. Like you said win the divisional games and see what happens from there.

I agree about the match up problems. The giants usually dont look that good. Even victoria cruize managed to catch a couple passes. Rogers might be suffering from Sanchez disease.
Rodgers does look uncomfortable at times. When you are getting hit, sacked and hassled like he is I would to. His success is based on getting to to do his reads and progressions and he is simply not getting time to do so. That needs to get fixed if the Packers are going tn be a viable contender for the Super Bowl. Getting healthy wouldn't hurt either!

They are waiting on Benson,he still may have to have surgery which would end his season.I do agree though,a sustainable running game would be nice.IM worried about Starks. He had that real nice run latter 10 and playoffs to the SB but has been hurt since. He has had a few games the last 2 in fact and he didn't get hurt,so that's a plus,i just wonder if he can stay healthy and we can go with a Starks/Green combo.
Greg VanRoten is sitting on the bench,he adds some size,i wonder if he can play center? Reading in the MJS earlier, the author mentioned Don Barclay played some Tackle in College ( since Lang is struggling at RT and Evan D-S isnt much better at LG) maybe moving Barclay to RT and Lang back to LG is the way to go for the rest of the year. Its late in the season ,but,if there is another blow out 1 way or another,i almost wouldn't mind seeing Greg vanRoten play some center and see what happens.Defensively, they miss Clay as far as pass rush but they needed Walden or someone to find an answer and they couldn't,SO,hense a blow out loss.We just dont matchup with NY,thats just the way it is i guess.Going to have to renew the gameplan and hope they can pull it off to a T and hopefully comes the win, because whatever they are doing vs NYG obviously isnt working and a huge part of it starts up front.Chicago has a better front 7 then NY does IMHO and CHICAGO NEVER gives AR That much trouble.
