apparently what the league negotiators want only amounts to about a savings of $62,000 per team. Small potatoes for what the nfl gets.

NFL owners want them to stop being part-time labor and instead work full-time for the league. Sounds great, except they want the refs to eliminate their other sources of income while taking a 16 percent cut in salary. They also want to eliminate their pensions and replace them with 401k plans tied to the stock market. Put simply, the owners line is less pay, less benefits, and if you don’t like it we’re locking the doors.

Well we don't need'em. Look at the stellar job the replacements did yesterday.

As we were saying.....

it's not the replacements, per se...,

even the players admit that.

It is the fact that they are "in over there heads",
and the nfl is greed for not ending the lock-out.

The nfl's use of scab refs just show how pathetically
greedy they are. What 62k a team amounts to in terms of nfl revenue is chump change. But they do not care - about the quality of the game.

The Green Bay version of the Ganette paper had a headline in the Packers' section "13th Man" after the "12th" was the fans.

Grow up.
It's no wonder the jock sub-culture is shrinking - fast.
