I hope that Brett decides to go into the Hall of Fame as a Queen. I am sure that with all the support the Minny fans have for Mr Favre there will not be too many people against the club taking #4 away from the punter...... Go Brett Vi Queen for life.

Sorry, but NO football player enters the HOF under a team affiliation. Every HOFer goes in as an individual and each and every team they played for will have that player listed as one of that team's HOF players. Thus, Brett Favre will officially be listed as a HOF player for the Falcons, Packers, Jets and Vikings.

Again, no football player enters the HOF affiliated with any team. They enter as an individual and every team they played for in their career gets to claim them as a HOFer for their team. Brett Favre will enter the HOF as Brett Favre.

Then why do they keep a list of how many HOFers from each team?
Favre goes into the Hall as a Packer

What didn't you understand? Yes, they keep a list of HOFers from each team. As I said Favre will be listed as a HOF player for the Falcons, the Packers, the Jets and the Vikings! Favre doesn't go into the HOF as a Packer, he goes in as Brett Favre! Brett Favre played for 4 teams, so if you insist on saying he goes in with a team affiliation (which is technically incorrect) then you might choose to say he's going in as a Falcon, Packer, Jet and Viking. However, he doesn't and won't make any kind of choice or decision about which team he claims or which team gets to claim him. It is obvious that some people think that players make some kind of choice, but they don't! When they go into the HOF they go in as an individual so there is no choice to be made.

Brett gave us 16 years of winning football and two super bowl appearances. He deserves to be recognized as one of the best players in Packers' history. Bring him back to Green Bay to retire his number, put him into the Green Bay Packers hall of fame, and let the NFL figure out the rest.
He deserves our thanks, not our criticism.

I agree. Every Packer great should be honored by the Packers. And Brett Favre will. It's simply a matter of time before it happens. The NFL will honor him also. He's easily a first ballot NFL HOFer.

Did you hear the Packers might install a Pistol offense? If we thought it was hard before to stop them, think if they do install it. Will they be putting Aaron at risk is what im thinking, maybe if they think of that they won't install it.

Well I think what you are referring to is the Pack interested in an assistant who is very experience in the pistol offense. However, they were more likely to want his input on how to stop that type of offense instead installing it as an option of their own. Putting Rodgers in that type of offense is extremely dangerous and not needed and well… stupid. It would make no sense at all….. Rodgers running an opinion and risk major injury? Why? He is the best passer around; he doesn’t need the pistol offense to shine. I think he has proven that and then some.

I agree GBP, Favre will be a first HOF’er and enter the HOF for everything he did on the field, including his 1 great year with the Vikings and his other year too. They ALL count in the HOF and they shouldn’t be ignored or celebrated without all of them together. It is HIS career, not the Packers. He was one of the greatest, no matter what!
