I never said the Vikings have a good defense. They don't! But the Vikings bad defense doesn't make their crappy QB any better. BTW I do love Christian Ponder. He's my favorite Viking player. I hope he remains the Vikings starting QB forever. And, on behalf of Packer fans everywhere, I want to thank Christian Ponder for all that he has done for us. ROFLMAO

Well GB, the Vikes are on the bye week so it looks like I will be watching the Packers/Lions. Looking forward to a good game, interested in seeing the Lions D-line vs the Packs O-line, and Stafford does not have a good record against the Packers either. On a side note...heres hoping Drew Brees lights up the Bears for about 40+ points.

The Packers line did nicely against the Lions don't you think? I was disappointed Brees didn't do better (he's my fantasy QB) but I like the results!

<quoted text>and how many times have we seen Rodgers drive them and take the lead with 3 min left and the defense cough it up with 1M left? How many times was GB even behind late in that 15-1 season? Theres a lot to go into it IMO.I for one have seen more then enough times,Rodgers put up numbers, take the lead late and the Def. cough it up..NOW, how many qb drive a team 80 yards in 1M or so for a winning score? Its been done but hardly the norm.
I'm linking it to Erie' post where Aaron has the worst QB rating in the 4th Quarter. I'm sure there are many variables involved including if GB is ahead or behind and such, but it still backs up my thoughts of Aaron excelling at getting a lead and keeping the pedal to the metal, but when a game is dicey at the end, Aaron has not played to his usual level IMO.

Are you gloating over a win without Megatron and Burleson?
Shameless you are
I would have picked Minnesota over Detroit too under similar circumstances.
I see Detroit stomping the packers at home, with Megatron of course.

I personally would like to see the Packer stomp on someones neck to end a game.Today GB had the ball w/7M or so and it would have been nice to see them run the clock out, they did drive for a FG after a real nice pass and catch and they got screwed out of a TD ( with 4M or so left with Jones on the sideline)..Part of it is Coach Mike loves being predictable and conservative with the lead late which doesnt help BUT, Watching Lacy gain 99 yards on 24 carries ( with no long runs to screw with the numbers) is pretty encouraging esp vs a solid defense like Det and their front 7.( in other words,he didnt gain 99 yards on 24 carries with a 50 yard run.in there and he was 23 for 49 the rest of the way type thing) he was solid through out.
I would have liked a win with Johnson and Burleson but again,a win is a win in the NFL,,GB was down to LB number 4.( Brad Jones injured,Robers Francois injured,Mathews was out the 4th quarter,Hayward hasnt played yet this year ect)The defense played well vs Reggie Bush ( holding him to under 70 total yards ( granted no Calvin Johnson! BUT)

But you would have been wrong because the Lions would beat the Vikings. And I'm not gloating at all. I'm merely pointing out that it appears the experts will be right AGAIN!

Most experts would agree that there is a long way to go, and no, without Megatron, the Vikings would win at home.

It seems that some people have forgotten what this thread is about. Prior to the season the experts unanimously picked the Packers to win the division for a third straight season and ranked the Packers number one in the NFC North. So far nobody has seen anything that suggests that the experts will be wrong.

After all is said and done the Vikings are only one game behind.ROFLMAO.The Packers still have to play Detroit in Detroit and the Bears and Vikings at their home field. The Packers could easily lose two of them. The Bears lost to the Lions.
