I gotta say... while I don't know if I agree with the players selected in this mock (not like anyone can predict who will be available anyway) I like the idea of the tradedown. If the Packers could come out of this draft with two 2nds and two 3rds, it would be a good thing. The value in this draft is definitely in those rounds, and there is hardly any dropoff talent wise between pick #26 in the first round and pretty much the whole 2nd round.

If that is the case I hope a team interested in a QB (Manuel maybe) is interested in moving into the 26th spot so we can move back. I am all for aquiring more picks unless someone falls that we really have our eye on.

Besides being up against the cap,It would be real cool to acquire more picks so they can not only improve in spots but cap relief by being able to trade vets/release vets and not lose a beat, maybe even pick it up a bit.

I fear that TT not being involved in Free Agency is about to catch up with the Packers. In a good draft a team will get 2 starters and 2 backups, watching the playoffs the last two seasons...that ain't gonna be enough. And let's be real about the QB position, Rodgers is within a couple of months of 30 years old and there is nothing behind him. People forget that Rodgers didn't go into the draft until after his senior year (age 22), then sat for 3 years before starting (age 25), this will be his 9th season I believe (drafted in 2005). There isn't a QB worth taking this year...but is it time to be thinking about one?

They like BJ Coleman who was on the practice squad last year, but, it wouldnt surprise me if they drafted a qb at some point late and develop him for a season.
