I am very happy wih the pick!!! We really need help on the dline and Jones will be able to make an instant impact if what everyone is saying about him is indeed true.

From What ive read and heard,Jones is a solid, speed rusher, plenty of power, quickness and exactly what We need, although i was leaning toward Williams ( if they were intent on Dline with 1st pick) but
TT wanted to get bigger, stronger, faster, quicker and more athletic and Datone Jones fills it quite nicely,if everyone is right about him.
From others...Put him on the left side line,,( he and Clay ) on the same side nd that leaves Nick Perry 1 on 1 but also adds a ton of speed.
I wasnt super excited as I am tired of these 290lbers but after reading up,highlights, analysis ect from guys who cover it a bt better then we do and from whats written and highlights ( the whole thing) Sounds like a real nice upgrade,if he can stay healthy, who knows we could have something pretty special..
any thoughts on Chicago taking Kyle Long when they desperately need WR/TE help and could have had the TE from Notre Dame Tyler Eifert?
Chicago NEEDS to rebuild the oline but Tyler Eifert and Chicago didnt take him to help out the whiner? I was pretty much the same way the guys were, very surprised.

Good pick. Definitely won't hurt at all. That was the beauty of this draft, pretty much anyone available at that point would have been helpful. I guess all the trades earlier in the round dried up the trade market.

The Bills really crossed me up. First by trading down (though it worked out great for them) and then by drafting Manuel... all the rumors were that the pick would be Nassib or Barkley, each of who would fit their offense better.

And the Bears win the prize for the reach of the first round. Kyle Long? Projected as a mid second rounder to third rounder. Huh.

Arthur Brown is still there...

although Ted would have to trade up for Brown i would think. I just hope we can land Melenik the Tackle from Florida State ( again a trade up im sure) or Jonathon Hankins Ohio State or the big NT from Georgia,Ted needs leverage when Raji goes FA.Com ing into camp out of shape isnt helping his cause but there still is 2-3 months before Camp starts and 4 months before August preseason games start

Raji showing up out of shape is fine with me, as long as he is ready to go for camp. He probably already knows the Pack can not afford to pay what he wants and knows the Ftag is coming in after this season. With all the new DT/NT coming the price may drop.

Packers trade #55 for a 61# and a 6th rounder and Arthur Brown went at 56,so for whatever reason TT didnt draft Brown.
Menelik Watson,Jonathon Hankins both went a bit before the Packers pick ( I wonder who got drafted that TT targeted, that allowed himself to trade the pick?) move down 6 spots nd grab an extra pick ( 6th round) but its the mid round picks that make and or break a team
