Are Freaking kidding me? Really Tampa Bay?

Is this truly the beginning of the end for this regime at 1261 Lombardi Ave?
The Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy Era has been a disaster.
This loss is the cumulative sum of the last few years.
Poor Drafting and little free agent activity. Not short on cash. What good is it going to do sitting in the bank?
The whole Favre fiasco. He ends up on the hated Minnesota Vikings and is playing well with MVP possibility.
Justin Harrell again Really? Injured reserve again? He should have never made the team.
The offensive line is just that Offensive.
Little QB pressure
It's starts upfront
Very poor special teams play all season long
Stupid penalties signs of an undisciplined team.

I have stood by quietly watching this management team ruin the Packers. No More.
When this season is done.
Minnesota may win it's 1st Super bowl with Brett Favre.
It will be time to get the pitchforks and torches and run TT and MM outta town.

I am speechless. Is this team really this bad? Is this the best these coaches can do to prepare a team? Are the coaches responsible for the way this team played? Is this the best talent that was available for management to assemble a team? Will this team win another game this year? Stay tuned Packer fans, here comes the meat of our schedule.

I would be surprised if we win 1 game in the next 6. I'll watch the rest of the games, but with no expectations. If this loss doesn't wake up the fans of TT and MM, I don't know what will. I used to back them up, but it's obvious they are completely worthless. I can't wait until they are gone.

Look at all the quality coaching candidates for next year, Holmgren, Gruden, Mike (little Rat) Shanahan, Cowher, Mooch, there are probably more. Anyone of these guys are better than MM, he looks lost on the sideline. No progress or consistency with franchise under TT and MM. Wolf/Holmgren made progress every year in their first five years, with the 5th year winning the SB. Wolf brought in Free Agents and drafted well, TT no Free Agents, mixed in with some of his good draft selections. Good skill position players with no o-line.(Terrible)

At this point I hope Cowher replaces MM, who has regressed as a coach and looks defeated just like this team. Although I have supported both TT/MM, if the team didn't turn it around this season, I wouldn't mind seeing them both go. Now, 6-10 is probably what we are looking at. I hate being pessimistic and we are 4-4, but Rodgers is getting killed, we have the worst o-line in the league, piss-poor special teams, poor offensive play calling, etc. What a surprise train wreak this has become!!!!!!!!!

Glad your coming around wal. Better late than never. It's not looking good right now. When I predicted them 7-9, 8-8 it looks like I may have been too generous. They are now getting into the beefy part of their schedule. We need to get rid of them and move on. TT's build the team from the draft and not spending money on quality free-agents has failed miserably. One of the most idiotic comments I ever heard from McCarthy today "I worked them too hard"!! Referring to why we lost just confirms what a true idiot and moron he really is. We can do much better no matter who we get!

Yup way to go Ted. You've built a mediocre through the draft and McCarthy is beyond hope. Time to kick these clowns out of town.

Train wreck? Yes. Suprise? Not to all of us. I also hate being pessimistic. However, it's not the first time in the last five seasons that we are experiencing this. My hopes remain high. I hope Mark Murphy mans up and does his job. He needs to prove he isn't a potted plant.

Every team faces adversity at times and every team makes hiring mistakes occasionally. As fans all we can do is hope those in power have the smarts to recognize problems and take the steps necessary to correct them.

I agree - after the Bucs returned the int. for a TD with 35 seconds left - they scan the Pack sidelines and there is clueless MM STILL LOOKING AT HIS FREEKING CLIPBOARD! HEY MM!! PUT THE CLIPBOARD DOWN!! THE CLIPBOARD HAS DONE SHIT SO FAR!! You are down by 2 possessions with 35 seconds to go ... PUT DOWN THE FREEKIN CLIPBOARD!!.... Sorry ... I just had to vent ...

Funny you say that, I was talking to my brother on the phone at that time and he was saying the same thing, good one, I think we all feel the same way.

I agree that MM is lost. Did anyone catch him going ballistic with Driver, Jennings and Jones after they knelt in the end zone and a flag was thrown? First time he decides to denegrate a player(s) for a penalty and they pick the flag up. Guess he was too scared to go after Jolly and his head butt last week. He just doesn't get it. Leave.

You guys are going overboard. Let the season play out, then evaluate how the team and coaches did. Everyone is entitled to a fair chance.

Same thing happens every year. A good team loses to a team they should beat, and that same good team that lost will upset a better team. That's why they play the game, and that is why the NFL is so exciting. There is no such thing as a sure win.

I dunno. In all my years as a Packer fan, going back to Dan Devine as coach (I was just a little too young to remember Bengston or Lombardi), I have never called for the firing of a coach. It's finally changed.

Why now? Because I think the season can still be salvaged. If the Packers can get their collective heads together, they can still pull out a winning season to build on for next year. However, it looks to me as though the team has completely lost confidence in McCarthy, and vice versa. If for no other reason than to light a fire, I believe that they need to fire McCarthy now. Today. Give Capers the interim title or something, but they need to shake things up and instill some discipline. Get through the rest of this season, try to end it on a high note, and then in the offseason find and hire the leadership of the future.

Of course, if you think the season is already a lost cause, then leave McCarthy in there as it doesn't really matter, does it? I think something can be done to right the ship this season, but it must be done NOW.

If everyone had followed your advice last year, TT (and possibly MM) would already be gone. Perhaps the Packers wouldn't have found themselves in a huge hole at mid season, yet again. Already we fans have been forced to lower our expectations in order to pretend that the season will be a success. This has become a regular pattern since Ted Thompson became GM. TT has had his chance. TT has been weighed, he has been measured, and he has been found wanting. Nothing to do with TT is based upon one game. It is the culmination of years of failure.

Jerry,
TT and MM are FAILURES plain and simple just like you. Ted Thompson has a very narrow mind just like you. He believes he can right the ship by way of the draft only. Heck with all the outstanding free-agents that are out there year after year. He is out to get by as cheap as possible for whatever reasons. He realizes the seats at Lambeau will always be sold out if the Packers are 4-12 or 12-4. So his strategy is to not spend money on quality players and save that money for who knows what. As long as TT is there, we will be mediocre at best. I am not satisfied with that and neither are many other good Packer Fans. As far as McCarthy goes, he is just a puppet of Thompson. His true lack of character and intelligence showed this last game. It's all over our local media and radio stations about how ludicrous his "I worked them too hard" comment was. Why do you want to support a couple losers like that and keep on hoping MAYBE NEXT YEAR. I am sick and tired of maybe next years. We need change NOW! GET WITH IT and stop being such a loser.
