Opening day, a home-opener for Green Bay, the big rival team in town; it just doesn't get any better than that for Cheeseheads. Oh, wait a minute, that's right, Brett won't be quarterbacking! So, I guess it'll be a crapshoot after all, and the game for the taking. Well, OUR quarterback has LOTS more experience than Aaron Rogers. Let's see them cheat up to the line to stop AD, and dare us to throw; let's just see how THAT works out for them. It got old last year, and I think the team will put a stop to that nonsense next year. Could be a nice start for the Vikings; Bring it on.

It's Aaron Rodgers, and he will show up Tavaris Jackson any day....This should be a pretty good game. With of course, Green Bay coming out on top.

That's exactly what the Packers will do is stack the line and dare us to throw. This will let us Viking fans know right away if T-Jack is capable of leading this team and if Aaron Rodgers can lead theirs. What a great early matchup by the NFL schedulers.

Packers ALWAYS get the benefit of the doubt. Hmm? I wonder what the main topic of the night will be? Favre? Yeah, and who wants to see them lose nationally? Not the refs. Not the nation. Maybe if we can start another 20 year losing streak for the Pack opening the season the media will stop the love affair with the ButtPackers. They talk about Lombardi and Favre all day and night, but forget to mention how pathetic they were for 20 years.

I hate Favre!

Perfect, AP gets revenge right away and runs for over 200 yards, with a couple of runs over Harris. The media gets to see what the Packers will be like w/out Favre and you will also see a lot more calls going against the Pack, since Favre is no longer there, especially their D-Backs. You'll also still hear an old man sobbing(John Madden) from a distant state because Favre is not playing. Prediction:

Vikes - 27
Pack - 20

What a great way to open the season! It's also nice that the Vikings will not have to play a game in December at Green Bay.
I don't think it would be wise to count Aaron Rogers out just yet. Don't forget that the Niners almost took this guy as the #1 overall pick a few years ago so the potential and skills are there.
Holding a clip board for a couple of seasons and learning behind Favre might have been a good thing for this kid. Unlike T-Joke, who will be under heavy pressure by the fans and coaches to produce; Rogers will have some time to show positive results before the fans and coaches get down on him.

you vikings fans are so funny. You have 1 good player on your team and thats it. LOL whatever you say i love AP to death ad besides being on my rivals team i hope he breaks every record there is in the NFL for RB's with that said and out of the way your 1 person is AP and he cant seem to stay healthy shoot was he injured 2x last year? Like i said I have nothign but high hopes for AP but he cant do it all. and let him get 200yds 2 tds they will be the only ones the vikes score, and we wil have 150yds 2 TD's with grant. oh yeah thats rigth the RB who came out of nowhere and almost rushed 1000yds in 1/2 a season(how much did ol AP get again) and Rodgers to jennings for at least another 6. no matter what are team is stacked on both sides of the ball and there is no argument there. sure QB is new but he has been there for 3 yrs and is probably better friends with the WR then Favre was excluding driver of course. Its all about chemistry we all know this and AR looked good in dallas(I dont give him to much credit there since they didnt play to stop him) but still he can run buy time his intangliable are what we want and how he keeps his eyes down field the whole time while scrambling will kill teams once he gets some practice.

First off AP was only injured once last year, and that was from a cheap shot by your boy Harris, which would have injured every rb in the league, including Grant. Lastly, Grant rush for that much against the #1 rushing defense in the league the last 2 years running? Really? Now that teams don't have to worry about Favre, Grant won't get near as many yards as he did.

Now if the Vikes would only trade for Ohco sinko and jason taylor, they would be playoff bound. The vikes signed Dwight Smith and all of his baggage. Chad plays hard and is a premier wr. Paired with Berrian and Rice, they would make a formidable trio and teams would back off the line.

Give up McKinnie to Miami and a 3rd rd for Taylor. Do whatever it takes to get Chad...

Pick on Harris. After Plaxico stole Al's lunch money, took his girl, and spit on his car, it is time to pile on mr. dreadlock. We don't have anyone in Burress' league, but after watching Harris get owned like that means that Al has little left. Put Sidney out there with him and play the ball high.

Has that tard farve filed his retirement papers yet? I still don't trust that he's gone. Just one hangnail by Rodgers and brett's phone will be ringing off the hook.

Start off the season with the hackers in gein bay on Monday Night Football, what a nice way to begin the slackers meteoric fall from the NFL planet.

Grant was second fiddle to farve, so his yards last year will be a cake walk compared to this year. No more over compensating for beer fart, now Ryan will have to earn his yards, good luck with all of that.

The wheels will fall off the green and yellow manure spreader early this year, then their drunk fans will be sobbing just like farve.

I can't wait

Favre will start this game for GB. He hasn't signed the papers because he doesn't want to leave. Unless 1 addition to wide receiver makes that big of a difference the Vikes will not improve much over last season with what they have. They need to make some moves in FA or have an outstanding draft. I love the Vikes but I don't know if they if this is the year.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Virgo

You aren't fooling anyone - it's easy for everyone else to see that inexperienced people are unaware of their obligations, Virgo. You're grumpy about starting a familiar process from the beginning again, but don't let that get in the way of getting on with it. Sour grapes have no place in your daily dealings. Although you may 'own' a project, it's ultimately in the hands of someone else. Deal with it and then move on.
