Indy Disses Unitas By Still Using #19 Jersey

Oct 8, 2011 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Baltimore Beatdown

If there is ever a reason for any number to be retired and stay retired on any team in the NFL, the #19 jersey of Johnny Unitas should never again grace the back of an NFL player on the Colts, be it the old Baltimore or current Indianapolis version of the team.

This is a joke. There is no respect for fotball history in Indy. This is the second most disgraceful thing I've read as it pertains to the actions of the current Colts dissing their previous franchise. One that was a far better team. I almost puked when I watched the much anticipated history of the colts program on espn some years ago and found that all of the commentary and interviewing was done mainly by current colts players, Tony Dungee and Peyton Manning, are you serious. Not Art Donovan, Mike Curtis, John Mackey, Bubba and Gino? They know nothing of the storied franchise that was one of the greatest teams in NFL history. Now they have the nerve to use Johnny's number instead of hanging in Canton for good? The Indiannapolis Colts franchise is a disgrace to the ENTIRE NFL and to the players that made it possible for them to be a team at all.
