Aaron Rodgers can reach 10,000 yards he's just not feeling it last season

Unless a team has an extremely pathetic running game, there is no need to pass for even close to 6,000 yards. The great teams can both run and pass the ball efficiently. He would have to aver a nearly unheard average of 375 yards per game and likely about 30 completions per game which is also an unheard of statistic. 375 yards per game is more than what the average NFL teams gains on both running and pass plays in a game.

BTW, Aaron Ross had less yardage than either Brees or Brady, but he had a higher passing efficiency rating than either of them. He also threw fewer passes. There is a tendency for a team with a more diversified (pass vs. run) attack to have a more efficient passing game than one that lives and dies by the pass.

In my opinion this kind of discussion merely adds to the bizarre and irrational focus on QBs and meaningless stats. The NFL has changed rules to contribute to this trend. I suppose that if the NFL continues in the direction it's headed, the 6,000 yard mark may be eclipsed someday. As a Packer fan I say, who cares? Let's discuss whether a TEAM will ever go undefeated through a 16 game schedule and the playoffs. That is something I might care about.

To throw for 6000 yards, a QB would have to pass on nearly every down in which case, the offense could focus solely on pass coverage which would make completing passes all the more difficult. As I said before, unless some team has an absolutely pathetic running game, there will be no need to pass on nearly every down.

NFL rules against touching or even looking funny at receivers or especially the QB have made the NFL a pass first and pass often league.

I agree that it has contributed along with the single running back offenses.

Aaron can through anything I believe in him not matter how difficult times get. BTW he surpassed both Brady and Brees in ranking. I'm a fan and fans stick by there players. *Rodgers is my playa*

Unless every defense he faces takes the day off. it is highly doubtful he or any other QB will ever reach 6000 yards unless they increase the season to 18 games.
