Frank Girardot: NFL Sunday countdown for Industry

A few weeks ago I plunked down the $200 plus for NFL Sunday Ticket and Red Zone.

Yeah, "they" were going to build a stadium in:

Irwindale
Compton
Anaheim
Hollywood Park
Long Beach
Downtown.

Now this bunch wants us to believe they can build a stadium in Industry. They promised a team would play in the Rose Bowl this season. The whole idea is nonsense.

No team is going to locate to the LA market. The last teams here did not leave because of the good weather. They left to make money. There is no money here for football.

The only thing stopping this project is pictures of dead presidents, Hamilton, and Ben Franklin.

Today, 10-22-09 the “give-ernor” and several other elected “representatives” repay gazillionaire frank roskie jr for all of frank’s political support by signing the special interest legislation which bypasses our local controls on neighborhood and environmental impacts. Seems as though all you need is lots of money and you can buy anyone. I wonder if governor Arnold, and his Sacramento pals, will all arrive in franks back pocket? A little money goes a L O N G way in Sacramento.

This stadium won't get built...the lawsuits that will develop over this end around, the sliding commercial real estate market and the lockout will make sure this project dies a slooow, expensive death.

The real truth is: So many people, particularly construction workers need steady jobs that not just bring food on table but restore pride.
The real truth is: too many negative nonsense and bitterness that won't change the reality and only hurt those who have no vision. There are still people who refuse computers and remain isolated in their little sad world.
Wake up! The Stadium is a good project even if you don't like football.
