Once again San Diego came from ahead. They snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Phillip Rivers in spite of his fine stats and abilities somehow seems prone to not giving a full four quarter performance. The Chargers have lost too many games where they seemed comfortably ahead. The Giants must have known what they were doing when they traded their rights to sign Manning for Rivers and a first round draft choice. Eli has become Mr. Clutch while Rivers has become Mr. Choke.

If I was the head coach, Philip Rivers would have been benched for showing disrespect by throwing a tantrum while walking away from Norv Turner. It starts negative energy affecting the team of course in a negative way. If TURNER, A.J SMITH, and GENE SPANOS allow this to happen, it`s their fault. I have always wondered why a QB as talented as Rivers has trouble holding on to leads. He appears more self oriented than team oriented based on what you just posted. John Hadl and Dan Fouts were no more gifted than Rivers, but their conduct certainly was much more professional. Just for the record, I can remember the Chargers back to the days of Jackie Kemp.

If you were are head coach, you're also very familiar with how much less talented the backup is than Rivers.
