Palmer deal official _ he's a Cardinal

Full story: Inside Bay Area

The Raiders traded quarterback Carson Palmer to the Arizona Cardinals Tuesday, a day after acquiring Matt Flynn from the Seattle Seahawks, receiving a sixth round draft pick in 2013 and a conditional seventh-round selection in 2014.

I still don't think this makes sense. We were not in that bad of cap room(not like the Cowboys).

We really don't know what Carson said, or what Reggie thought, we only have a bit on conjecture. That being said, i feel like it's pretty obvious Flynn is a lesser QB than Palmer. At the least he "isn't as good". Flynn can be decent, but he doesn't have Jennings and Finley to throw to Philbin to call the plays. Carson did what he did last year with GREG FREAKING KNAPP, who was so clearly a hack it was painful to watch almost every week.

IDK man, i just want to sit Reggie down and really understand his logic on this because i honestly don't get it.

I don't like that we didn't get much for him, but I think this was more about Money than anything.

Did anyone hear Carson press conference today when he was introduced with the Cardinals? I think it is funny that when the media was saying Palmer was unwillingly to renegotiate people were on hear bad mouthing Palmer. And when they found out he took less money than what the contract was in Oakland people were right away on hear saying good ridence to the jerk. Yet, what Palmer said yet today doesn't seem to be a topic on here. Anyway Palmer wanted to clear the air about what said about the contract. Basically, he was offered a contract by Oakland. His agent stated that he could not recommend (any player) signing that kind of contract, since it did not have any guarantees. Zero. So there is the expression that "we will make him an offer he can't refuse" and the reality was "he was offered a contract, he could not accept or they knew he would not accept". It had nothing to do with the final dollar amount. Anyone see the press conference?

If you assume McKenzie knows what he is doing, then that it why does not make sense. Now try this, McKenzie does not know what he is doing? Makes more sense now doesn't it?

Interesting. Not surprised. He restructered last season. So you knew Raiders were trying to get him for less, just didn't know details. I would have been good with Jeeping him. He is a good qb. I just hope Flynn or Pryor work out to be good.
