A lot of this should depend on Palmers take on Benson. All Bengals fans are saying is Benson is a whiner snd never can have enough Carries. If thats true, back up role with us not an option. But if palmer stands behind him and says thats the media circus blowing things out of porportion. Than consider it. My question is what have Goodson and Jones been doing or not doing to maje us look at Benson????

Benson peaked at Midland Lee. I like Goodson better, not just because of where he went to school, but because he's effective out of the backfield and as a returner.

However, the more I think about it, the neater it sounds to have somebody playing for the Raiders that I played against in High School.

1,067 yds last season for benson, and he was hungry for the ball? give it to the man! now, another thing, why let go of bush and keep jones and sign goodson if now they are talkin' benson? why could they have not just kept that money and gave it to bush? NOW, if benson does great with dmac? I'm going to say, who's micheal bush? 1,067? issn't that better than darren mcfadden? I mean, don't get me wrong? I know who our starter is, but how about a great tandem for one year at least before there is more controversy? and what is up with jones and goodson? i'm telling you, right now? we need that boost to start a new team if we want to compete in the afc west!

The only way we can afford Benson is if he comes way cheap--league minimum(?). If that's the case, I say sign him!! He's a good back. Didn't we carry 4 RB's last year? I think a tandem of DMC/Benson would be just as good if not better than DMC/Bush......no offense to Michael Bush--may you always do well. Benson is a proven RB in the NFL. He's a solid 1,000 yard rusher--given enough carries. If DMC goes down, I'm fine with Goodson & Taiwan behind him. If DMC goes down with Benson behind him--we got no worries.

I posted before that I thought there was some problem between Carson & Benson. This is what I heard--don't know if it's true or not. If those 2 have an issue, I say we don't need Benson.
