With two shut down corners and Edelman back in NE, the Pats have come a long way in getting ready for the Broncos. They still need to pick up a NT and DE and some depth would be nice. On the offensive side of the ball, it is expected that the rookies will take a giant leap forward as second year players often do. That gives NE Gronk and Hoomanawanui, Edelman and 3 second year guys on the up swing.
The draft should provide them with a NT and TE in rounds one and two, a safety/CB or DE and a center in rounds three and four (Pats will tryout Browner at both CB and Safety to determine the best fit). If the Pats get interest in Mallet for a second rounder (they should but won't because other teams are more willing to hurt the Pats prospects than improve their own...go figure). One look at Hoyer winning 3 of 4 for Cleveland should wake up QB needy teams, but they are so blind, it will most likely pass them by. If someone is on the ball and takes Mallet, Pats may use that pick for DE and pick up a serviceable QB either late in the draft or off the street. Can anyone say Vick? Should be a fun year ahead.
Liked the idea that Kraft gets the Pats more CAP room by paying Brady big bucks for doing Mac & Cheese commercials so he can take a massive pay cut and use it to sign FAs. Maybe Wilfork would do the same for a lifetime supply of Mac & Cheese. Wouldn't hurt to ask. Lol

If Brady takes Mac & Cheese in lieu of dollars he will puff up like the stay-puff marshmallow man
