screw palmer. we took his ass off the couch and now he'd rather leave, go sit on his ass as a second string, and collect a ring he did nothing to earn rather than start and help rebuild a franchise. peace out bro. have fun on the sidelines

Really palmer your not a leader if you where you would take the pay cut and help take this team to the super bowl you cant just have it handed to you so you would rather go to a team as a back up to get a ring then to take a team your self to the super bowl oh well good luck palmer

I'm not even mad at all. My beef is still with DA & RM. How do they expect for Pryor to play good when they show him no confidence? It's more got to do with purging AD's roster than if Pryor can play or not. Those rookies that shined last year did so because their coaches & organization was behind then 110%. Pryor could change the dynamics & scheme the offense play. I'm with cutting Palmer, but give the guy that sat patient & waited his turn. He deserves that much!

Gee, hopefully they still have a 1st so they can overreach for Matt Barkley.

don't get me wrong, i'm fine with cutting him and his bloated up contract, i just don't like being disrespected by this guy who we brought back from the dead. the lack of respect, unwillingness to sacrifice for the organization that gave him a chance, and pure laziness in wishing to go to a place that will give him a ring while sitting second string is what gets me going. unbelievable really. what i want to happen realistically is cut palmer, and bring in maybe colt mccoy who will probably get cut, or maybe even v. young to compete with pryor for the top spot. i don't like the flynn deal cause we gotta trade AND cover his 5-6 mill. contract. i'm down for one of the others cause we can probably get one of them for dirt cheap and have them go head to head with pryor.

Disappointing. Palmer thinking that Davis, McKenzie, and D.A. should be ok with paying him 13 million/year when he's ok with being a back-up?!

I backed up Palmer all year. Lot of dropped passes,no running game,no offensive line. Defense was so bad we had to throw and defenses knew it. Palmer always was the one being blamed for everything that went wrong. But I thought he wanted to be a leader and be a part of bringing the raiders back. To want to be a back up means to me that he's giving up.

This is a mistake by both parties. Carson doesn't want to be a back-up. This is more speculation by the media trying to shape the opinions of the fans....or mis-info planted by the organization to look like we want Geno Smith now.

If Carson doesn't want to be a Raider then let him go--but get something in return. I can kinda understand if he wants to leave after watching the team get dismantled (FA's leaving) in the last few weeks.

Carson did his part last year for the team by restructuring his contract to help out the Raiders. Now they come back this year and want him to take a pay cut. What happens next year? Another pay cut?

Carson was one of the very, very few stars we had on this team in 2012. Pay the man.

If we release him we still have to pay 9 Mil, right? So we pay 13 Mil and have Carson Palmer at QB or we pay 9 Mil and have nobody. Pay the man.

I have no problem with Flynn. I saw his game and he looked good. I wanted the Raiders to get him last year. But Flynn will cost us 5 Mil. With Carson 9 Mil in dead money, that equals 14 Mil to get Flynn. 13 Mil for Carson Palmer or 14 Mil for Matt Flynn. Pay the man.

Carson Palmer restructured last year and took a $900,000 salary to help the team. This year was supposed be his paycheck and now the Raiders don't want to pay him.

If I were Palmer, I would take my talent somewhere else too.

The Jets are in the market for washed up USC, never-will-be QB's. Perfect spot for him

The lesson to be learned here is never give money back to "the man" because your payday will be greeted with a pink-slip (not the kind Raider fans wear either) P)

Carson Palmer is good but is not our future qb. I the raider team just has money issues. I just want the raiders to sign more CB and a FS.

Look I'm still a Carson fan. The man held up to his end of the bargain, a bargain despised & not welcome by this current regime. He bought in & restructured last year & took vet minimum. Not even a mill! But after watching all the disloyal moves made by RM this offseason how else is Carson supposed to feel? They're only using him until they find a cheaper & younger option. I'm not even sure this regime is really trying to win this year &RM made it evident by all the cuts this year that Palmer wouldn't be here next year. I said I was down for cutting Carson because we've started a full sledge rebuilding stage so might as well start over for real & stop bullshitting. Carson played very good giving last years situation. What y'all don't realize is Brady & Mannings are who they are because they've been running the same offense since they entered the league. 4,000 yds with a bunch of unfamiliar receivers & a new OC is phenomenal. All that with no running game &a horrible defense!
