What the sportswriters and sportscasters haven't wrapper their minds around yet is that Baylor's starters on offense haven't played past the first series of downs in any 2nd half this season.

As an example, West Virginia held #10 Oklahoma to 16 points for 4 quarters and a week ago they held #11 ranked OK State to 30 points for the game. Baylor scored 56 points in the 1st half and gained 617 yards in the same 30 minutes. Then Coach Briles set them down and let the 2nd and then the 3rd team play. Seastrunk gained 172 yds rushing on 15 carries in the 1st half and then was not allowed to play in the 2nd half. Bryce Petty threw for 347 yds in the first half and then sat down.

In the 1st three games, Petty threw for 312, 338 & 351 yds playing only the first half and one series of downs in the 2nd half. He leads the nation in passing efficiency while only being allowed to play for the first half.

Saturday night's game against West Virginia, Baylor's 1st qtr possessions were:
3 plays for 75 yds 40 secs - TD
12 plays for 75 yds 3:33 - TD
1 play 47 yds 9 secs - TD
1 play 80 yds 13 secs - TD

I rest my case.
