I was liking Tom Cable as a coach at the end of last season but now I think he's just sucking up to Al Davis by building a team the Al Davis way and expecting to win with it...Sticking with Russell because that's his boy; Drafting Darrius Heyward-Bey because he had the fastest time at the combine; Don't even get me started on defense...

I think there is a lot of truth to what your are saying about Cable doing what Al wants. The difference is that I do not think it is a bad idea.

funny you mention that. there was a (rb) that they had mentioned that has thrown passes and incompletes and has a better rating than russell (LOL) i forgot what team he plays for but he is the worst among (rb's) that do that. crazy huhh? i don't know man, i really wish russell would snap out of that and start playing right. but it really looks bad and it's hard to deny that he is bad!

Nothing against Tom Cable...He needs another year to really show if he's worth anything as Head Coach. I liked him as OL coach. He coached us most of last season and he's got this season. I want to see what he does over a course of three seasons then I will have an opinion of him as a HC.

Cable is fine, it's the O-Line...fixing the O-line would make us competitive...then it's fine tuning after that. People are too quick to change the high profile jobs...QB, Coach...but I don't think that's where are problem is...if our O-line was better our D would be better...our RB's would be better and our QB would be better...

as much as i liked and wanted cable here, i think i'm done with him. i still hope he does something to improve this football team but my hopes look far from that being done. this football team is not listening to him. offense is his fortei and RAIDERS are specially struggling there!+ players don't know if they will have a coach leader soon? believe me,i stll hope things turn around but?

OLine is supposed to be Cable's specialty and it is not showing. We need to address the OL wisely next chance we get and it better pay off. This last draft would've been a good time to do that. Eugene Monroe is who I would've taken if I could change the selection. As much as I wanted BJ Raji, I think if the OL was better, it would open up more plays for the offense and keep our defense off the field so much. If our defense could stay off the field and not get so winded, then they might be better.
