Marshawn Lynch pleads guilty, receives fine and revoked license

Lynch has been given at $100 fine and his NYS License is temporarily revoked. Lynch has just spoken publicly for the first time before pleading guilty to what amounts to a 2 point traffic violation.

The recent Marshawn Lynch case is blatant example of our sliding scale of (in)justice -which comes down hard on regular folks, especially on minorities and the indigent and treats celebrities but treats the wealthy with kid gloves.

This is hit and run,-a woman was injured by a big SUV and may suffer permanent injury and its millionaire owner/ driver gets a$ 100. fine, no jail time & no community service requirement !!!
What a pathetic sick joke!!! Anyone else would have been nailed (financially) and jailed!!!

Why wasn't Lynch required to take a DWI test when the police came for his car like anyone else would have. It appeared as if the Buffalo Police practically had to get Ralph Wilson's permission to charge Lynch at all.

The whole affair was a travesty on US justice and reinforces the wide belief that there are two justice systems in the US,-one for the rich, powerful,and well-connected, and a much harsher one for the rest of us.

Shame on the Buffalo Police, city hall, and the
the Buffalo Bills for their pivotal roles in this matter, and on WNYers for accepting this biased decision without an uproar.

Some credit is due channel 4, and their competitors, for at least questioning the fairness of this decision in covering this tawdry affair, and for polling the public afterwards.

Thank you Carl for the great article you have here. You are so right.

The Bills now has a history of picking the losers. First OJ and most recently Marshawn Lynch. What a disgrace to sports fans and the NFL let alone our community. I would think that the Bills AND the NFL would step in and fire Marshawn Lynch and prohibit him from playing any other public sport. He is making very big money, tons more than most people would ever see in their life time. But my question is, does that make someone above the law like it appears here? I don't think so. Marshawn Lynch is a very cocky person and a very bad example for the young youths that praise him.
