Full story: 10TV WBNS 29
Bengals executives tried to put a positive spin on Thursday's announcement. "It's been a great run," said Jeff Berding, director of sales for the Bengals."I would like to thank the fans and I expect a great crowd Sunday." No matter how you spin the statement, the fact is that the Bengals failed to sellout the game this Sunday against the Buffalo ... Full Story

Have you seen them play? They should all be blacked out. It's like watching closed circuit prison television everytime they take the field.

If the browns get a first down in a game, channel 10 locks them up for the season, the Bengals are never on tv anyway so why is this news. Defending AFC north champs and we can not even get half of the games. You can watch online for free, I do everyweek. Channel 10 sucks!

Brilliant marketing concept. Can't sell enough tickets to fill the stadium, so let's sign an agreement to black out any area which might have a few fans left. Professional football is dying, Quarterbacks now have stats of total yards passing, yards rushing, games won and felonies.

I am having such a hard time caring about this. Not just the blackout, but pro sports in general. How do people have the basic brainpower power to find this drivel worth the time to watch in the first place?

I'd like to see the number on how many tickets for the game were sold and what the number of Buffalo fans were that purchased the tickets.

The Cinncinnati BUNGALS and Carson Palmer? A "Weenie" in a hot dog commercial on TV. The advertisers may have pulled their commercials and that's why it's "blacked out".

Maybe it could also be because the team has massivly underachieve this seaon is why the sellout streak has been broken. I guarentee you if the Bengals were in 1st place or even in contention to make the playoffs the fans would sell out Paul Brown but since the team is 2-7 and a bad 2-7 at that is the reason for the non sell-out this week.

I joke, but you're right. I would be angry. Just like how they are showing some of the Buckeye basketball games on ESPN3. If your cable provider isn't on their list then you can even watch it on your pc. Stupid.

It's time they stop blacking out the games. With the economy getting worse all the time, people can't afford football tickets. They are just shooting themselves in the foot. Football will be irrelevant soon. Even in football towns.

Too bad the big wigs of the city can't jump in to help. If there is even a threat of Browns blackout, some corporation always buys up the tickets and gives them away in the name of charity for a write off. We have the worst team in modern times, and we don't have to worry about not being able to see the game. Thanks Cleveland!
