Patriots taking 4-10 Bills seriously

Dec 22, 2010 Full story: Daily Hampshire Gazette 8

For the New England Patriots, facing a team that lost its first eight games of the season shouldn't be much of a challenge.

Why is this news?

It should be common NFL grade school knowledge.

The Patriots, under Coach Bill Belichick, takes every game seriously and treats it as a must-in whether it's against a team that's 14-0 or a team that's 0-14.

They know that a lowly team hungry for a win, if underestimated, can rise up and eat the mojo out of your playoff hopes.

That's why they went 16-0 less than 5 years ago. Only 2nd team in NFL history to get a perfect regular season.

I meant to say "must-win", not "must-in".

If the Pats get a big lead, shouldn't they take some of the first string players out in these next 2 games?

Just concerned more about injuries than getting rested.

Parcell's philosophy was "players play" and apparently Belichek agrees. Its a long season and I see nothing good in playing Brady, Wilfork, Welker, etc during garbage time. If the Pats win Sunday I wouldn't mind watching all the backups in the game against Miami.

I just got a bad feeling about it. Maybe it's just me. Just have to trust in BB.
