There are 36 comments on the www.sgn.org story from Sep 14, 2012, titled Marriage equality polling. In it, www.sgn.org reports that:

While Washington's LGBT community is focused on our own Referendum 74, marriage is also on the ballot in Maine, Maryland, and Minnesota, and polls show pro-equality measures leading in three states and roughly tied in the fourth.

I remain hopefully optimistic that Marriage Equality will win at the ballot box in Washington and Maine. I feel that there could be a possible win in Maryland and I'm not sure how it will pan out in Minnesota.......at the same time I am also cautiously realistic that some will buy into the lies that NOM and their campaign adviser Frank Schubert will put into their ads.........hopefully the pro-marriage equality folks can answer them this time around!!!

Next, we should all vote on weather Methodists, Catholics, Jews, Italians, Norwegians, and Australians should be allowed to marry.

Then in 2013, we should next vote on whether Irishmen, Canadians, Japanese, South Africans, and Brazilains whould be allowed to marry.

You can bribe Homocrat politicians with millions in campaign contributions, but Homocrat government can't force normal people to accept homosexual perversion and deviance as normal and something that government should waste money on promoting to our kids.
Your filthy queer government can stake away all our rights and our money and silence us, but you won't be able to convince, only coerce.

It seems every one of your posts have something to do with kids. As I have stated prior, this indicates a thought process known to pedophiles. For the sake of society and safety for children seek medical attention.

The polling from Washington is very encouraging, especially the under 50 age group (63% support). The only age group opposed is (not suprisingly) the over 65 crowd.

This will all come down to turnout.

Btw, Washington is a 100% absentee ballot state. Every registered voter receives a ballot in the mail; no one actually goes to the polls.

Except for those times it wasn't, like in New York & New Hampshire & Vermont.

And soon we can add Washington & Maine & Maryland & Illinois & Delaware & Hawaii & Nevada & Rhode Island, etc, etc.

Poor anti-gays, won a few battles but is losing the war.

That's why we don't let the majority vote away the basic civil rights of a minority in this country, at least without a fight.

But you do know that even the votes will change, eventually, right?

All you have to do is track the trend over time, to see where it's headed.

This is NOT a civil rights, PERIOD! Even the African American Pastors of America said Gays are "Hijacking" the civil rights movement. THEY said so. NOT ME!!!

By your rationale those practicing incest are of minority status and should receive special rights too.

Bigots do NOT get to decide what is a civil right and what isn't. Just because they are black doesn't give them any more credence than anyone else.

I can list many prominent blacks who think it IS a civil rights issue, including Rep Lewis, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the entire NAACP leadership, etc.

Marriage is a civil right, therefore this is a civil rights issue.

PERIOD!!!!

If they're heterosexual, they ALREADY receive special rights.

Ironic that you use blacks as some kind of authority on civil rights, when blacks have the HIGHEST incest rates of any racial group.

Of course it is. The courts have said so.

Civil rights movements didn't start with women's agitation for the right to vote, and they didn't end with the end of slavery, or segregation.

They continue as long as the majority tries to deny basic civil and human rights to a despised minority.

And, Dear, not all black Americans feel the need to deny the very same basic rights they fought for to others. And not all black Pastors.

Are you one of those poor souls who cannot tell the difference between people who are related and people who are not?

Please explain how unrelated folks marrying should be compared to incest?

I only hear such support of incest from the radically anti-gay marriage crowd. It seems very odd to me, but perhaps you can prove some insight as to how it works in your mind.

Most sane folks can't seem to grasp the connection you make.

You support and rationalize such behavior, I don't. You need other peoples frailties to hide behind to give the appearance of your perversions as acceptable and normal. I think we've been down this road before.
