It's funny how insanely jealous people are that the Packers are a good team. IF the author of this article REALLY believed the BS he wrote, he wouldn't be complaining, he would be visiting Las Vegas and visiting every casino and placing as much as possible on the Falcons. Does he really believe that Vegas gave him good odds on the Falcons or not? It's laughable how transparent people make their envy.

According to some people the Falcons should also be upset about the Vikings being ranked higher. Unfortunately, the people that have that kind of faith in the Vikings aren't willing to prove that they actualy believe their own BS. They obviously aren't betting on their team.

We didn't cut our best pass rusher, our best CB and lose our best LB either. All to clear the cap room to sign Tony Gonzalez. and to bet $5.25 million of that on Steven Jackson will push them over the top. They also have us, SF, SEA, NE & WASH on their schedule. That and the improvement expected from their division foes is probably what the odds makers are looking at.

It's crazy. The author of the article admits that the Falcons aren't the best team in the conference, but has a huge problem over one spot. As a Packer fan all I care about is being number one no matter how many teams may have an early season edge. I guess that's the difference between the fans of a winner and the fans of a loser. If all your team has ever been is an also-ran, it apparently becomes very important how close you come. Ironically, this is merely an indication of the betting. The Falcons will have ample opportunity to prove they are a better team during the season and playoffs, if they make it. However, I certainly agree that bettors are probably taking predicted strength of division and schedule into account. It makes sense to predict that the Falcons will have a tougher division and schedule to face than Green Bay will face this season.
