Check out this scathing editorial about the Vick situation.

Michael Vick is a serial killer of innocents. The travesty is that he has been found guilty of only lesser charges and will probably do only a very short sentence in prison, after which he will probably continue being a serial killer after he is released.
I hope that he is permanently banned from playing in professional sports. Such evil things as he should not be exalted as professional sports players are in society. It is just sick to exalt a serial killer who has taken part in all the atrocities as he has done. Pete Rose was banned from professional sports for life for much less harm. Michael Vick should receive at least the same bann for life from professional sports. |

Ah the epic ignorance you brave souls show. Any concern for the other 40,000 people breeding and fighting dogs (and continuing to do so)? How about his co-conspirators who killed the dogs? Any understanding of the concept of our rights as citizens? I want Vick punished, but no more or less than anyone else convicted of this crime. I feel that way, because it is the way our legal system works and our laws are not selective to the irrational lunacy of psychotics (sorry). No mention of any other person involved in dog fighting? What about his co-conspirators? People arrested since April? In the USA, selective, extreme punishment is not allowed by law, a factor you may want to consider in your sick dream world of appropriate punishment. Be aware that in this country, they use a thing called precedent and the laws prescribed as being fair in punishment for a crime. Keep yapping like morons, keep your racist bedfellows and keep wishing for something that can't happen. If you cared about the cruelty, you wouldn't be transfixed on one person in 40,000. You are pathetic, ignorant, and un-American.

Selective, extreme punishment? In exchange for Vick's pead-out and evidence against other dog fighters, the feds agreed to drop all charges but one, and recommend a reduced sentence, for that one.(18 mos-2years, v. five years) In addition, the staties are not proceeding with any of the eight counts at five years each. The average sentence for dog fighting, across the country, is five years. That's is one DOESN'T cross state lines. Vickm got an exceptionally light sentence because he did ONE smart thing. He hired excellent lawyers. BTW-- Partly because of the evidence that Vick is giving, there are crackdowns in several states, against some highly placed dog fighters. And, if you watched Animal Planet, you'd not only know that dog fighters are arrested every day, you'd see them being hauled into court. So, please lose the racism. |

Islander all these dogs need help and to say Vics dogs had it good is an atrocity in itself. Obiously you are not familiar with what was done to Vics dogs.To name only a few things: If they did not perform to that POS's likes, they were executed. Some had jumper cables clamped on their ears and thrown into his pool, where they were slowly electrecuted, a very slow agonizing death. One of the rescue personel said that the pool was covered in claw marks( where the poor little things tryed to get out)and blood. This piece of walking vomit even took his own house pets and used them as bait dogs. The stupid SOB. So the NFL, the Humane Society, and the all of the NFL sponsers are being boycotted for backing Vic.So these dogs Did Not Gave It Good! Can you help some of thise poor dogs? |

There is no racism involved, I HATE all animal abusers alike, no exceptions. They had his cohorts that could have given the same evidence as VIC and even one of them tried to talk Vic into giving the dogs away that didn't perform well instead of killing them, but he wouldn't have it, they had to die. Now defend that. |

There is no mention of co conspiratores, simply because they are in prison,Some are anyway. Most are going about their dayly lives as if they were inocent people. And I am after ALL of them, I think they need to be put out of their miserable stinken existance and I personally am sic and tired of perverted monsters that walk around, pretending to be humane beings, getting away with their CRIMES!!!!!!!!!!They all need put where they belong and not out,(in this case already with million dollar contracts and people trying to act like this piece of garbage didn't do anything. Well excuse me our legal system is broken. People are doing the most ungodly barbaric things to animals that can be even thought of and they get arrested, go to court and walze right out. Now tell us all again about our legal system.Makes me want to throw up. Ands don't bring racism into it, I Hate all animal abusers alike, No exceptions. |
