FOr a young quaterback getting his first real shot at the big time, his stats were far from deplorable. He does have the problem of a slow release, but has a strong arm and could still be a serviceable NFL quarterback. Even Johnny Unitas, as great as he was, had a slow set up time on pass plays. Some of the better QBs in NFL history did not exactly set the world on fire in their first year as a starter (i.e. Phil Sims, Eli Manning, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Namath, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, and Jim Plunkett, among others). At least give him a chance before you write him off.

You can wish for Tebow to do well in one hand and crap in the other.

Find out which one gets filled up first

That's right. Maybe they didn't set the world on fire their first years, but that's expected from first year quarterbacks. The thing about those guys is..well.. they were real quarterbacks. So everyone knew they just had to catch up to the higher speed and complexity of an NFL game and eventually they'd be in good shape. They had all of the Quarterback skills. Teblow does not. His bread and butter is running the ball. His passes are horrendous. At best he's a mediocre running back. You all love him because he represents a golden boy, throwback to the myth of the wholesome, all American good ol' boy of yesteryear. That a starting QB in the NFL does not make. And in the competitive atmosphere of the NFL where players are clawing for position, it's a travesty that religious zealots strong arm the media (and last year the Denver front office) and shoved Tebowmania down the throats of REAL football fans in an effort to capitalize on the craze, which really means sell advertising and Teblow merchandising. Thanks be to the football gods the nightmare is over.

A lot of down graded reviews, Tebows resume speaks for it self, he has set records in hs, college, and was a 1st rd pick in the nfl, he has numerous awards, a lot of you are couch critics... Let him play his game....there have been so many let down players just for the dollar bill.....

I remember a quarterback names Billy Kilmer who threw wobbly spirals and still did well in the NFL. His passing skills were so suspect that one team tried to convert him into a running back. Joe Kapp led the Vikings to Super Bowl IV in spite of not being able to throw a tight spiral.

Tebow was more successful than the original Bronco starting QB. I really do not care whether he succeeds or not in the NFL as I was never a Tebow fan and I do question whether he was worthy of being a first round pick. Maybe some more experience will bring about improvement, maybe not. It is certainly too soon to write him off totally. You obviously have some ill will toward him that has nothing to do with football. Unlike you, I am at least taking a more objective view of him. Yes, he does have a lot to learn, but with more experience, perhaps he will improve to the point of being a capable or perhaps a solid starter.

I wonder how many 1st round picks the Broncos had to package to get the Jets to take GOD. It must suck for the Tebow Believers to see he's only worth a 4th round pick. The same disappointment they felt when they found out WWF wrestling was fake or Santa didn't exist

What a tragedy for Tebow. I hope he can survive the Godless Progressive Cultists in NY and keep from going over to the dark side. We can just pray for this fine young man.

Your roommate's sister turns tricks on the boulevard for less than $80 hourly.

Why all the animosity toward Tebow? He is a young quarterback who may or may not make it big one day. Yes, the Broncos were foolish to take him in the first round. Using a first round pick to draft him and only getting a fourth in return two years later sounds like a mistake to me.

Steve young was given up on after his second year in the NFL by Tampa Bay on his way to a HOF career with S.F. Lets at least give Tebow a chance before writing him off. Maybe he will be a bust, maybe not.
