Mr. Lazor sees the writing on the wall. Mike London, his assistants and, hopefully, Mr. Littlepage will all be on their way out after next season.

The students, the fans and the facilities at UVA are second to none. We deserve better when it comes to our football coaching and administration.

second to none? Oregon, Alabama, LSU, Florida, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Nebraska, OSU, Notre Dame and Michigan laugh at this.

Anyone worth their weight will leave this program the minute another opportunity comes about. We should expect at least another season or two of mediocrity at best before London gets fired. I know quite a few fans who are ditching season tickets they've held for decades. That stadium is going to be depressing next year...

Boy it seems no one wants to stay in Charlottesville. Good luck to coach Lazor. I can see where this will certainly hurt recruiting.

This reader must not get out much. UVA is inferior to most of the teams in the ACC and second rate facilities. The fans show little enthusiasm, but I suppose winning would help that problem.

Bye bye, he will go no further. CML should have kept Reid.

It's not for lack of effort, but to claim that they're second to none is unrealistic. The indoor facility should help, and Davenport has come a long way. It's going to be tough to keep up with the big athletic association revenues generators like Texas, Florida, and OSU. Winning helps, for sure, and I still think London deserves a little more time. There are a handful of elite teams at any given moment, and they pick coaches from the rest of the other major FBS AQ conferences. It's tough for a non-elite to break through or get a lightening in a bottle coaching staff, and even when it does, they get hand picked by the NFL minor league teams. UVA still has a lot to offer, but it's not perceived as an NFL mill, even though if you look at the NFL, UVA has proven to be a good development team.

I find the early defensive dismissals perplexing. Defense wasn't UVA's bane this past season. Lazor didn't really impress me, and clearly wasn't instrumental in Rocco's development. Wishing him well is the classy thing to do, but seeing him go shouldn't hurt any UVA's fans feelings. The timing could have been better with NSD 7 days away.
