More and more lights are coming on. From the article:

Just like Vick said, his play in the NFL over the past three seasons, and his career in general, will speak for itself much louder than the whisper of one game. However, it would seem that what Vick thinks his play says for himself and what it actually says are two different things.

Over the past two seasons for Vick, which encompass a total of 22 games as primary quarterback for the Eagles, he has been able to complete 59.0 percent of his passes while gaining 7.3 yards per pass attempt, 6.7 adjusted yards per pass attempt, 6.5 net yards per pass attempt, and 5.9 adjusted net yards per pass attempt. Additionally, Vick has posted a touchdown percentage of 3.8 percent, an interception percentage of 3.1 percent, and a sack percentage of 6.3 percent.

He has declined as a quarterback across every area, with the exception of sack percentage, and his drop-off in adjusted yards per pass attempt has been so precipitous it is of the statistically significant variety.

To make matters worse, Vick has also lost 42.9 percent of his fumbles over the past two seasons compared to losing 27.3 percent of his fumbles in 2010. Overall, he has been a turnover-making machine since the 2011 season began.

Vick's play over the last two seasons, coupled with the futility he experienced in his career prior to 2010, has been such that we can all learn an important less from it. Vick will never again be the elite-level quarterback he was in 2010, not for any sustained period of time. Instead, what he will be for the rest of his career if he is given the starting job for another team is at best an average quarterback. No team should hope for more than that unless they enjoy having parades rained upon, bubbles burst, and hopes dashed.

For those paying attention, the answer is obvious that Vick will be incapable of leading a sustained level of excellence and will only be an upgrade over the worst quarterbacks. No final-game audition was needed.

IT IS LAUGHABLE HOW PEOPLE DENIGRATE MICHAEL VICK OVER A SPORT THAT WAS THE SPORT OF KINGS AND QUEENS. ALL OF YOU WHO DISLIKE VICK FOR LEGITIMATE REASONS ARE FINE BUT MUCH OF HIS CRITICISM ORIGINATES IN HATE.

First off the reason that Michael Vick has not does as well as he could is because the Eagle went away from the offensive scheme that made Vick successful in his first year. The second reason he had problems with his performance was due to one of the worst offensive lines in football (pro or college).

I see that one of you called him convict...yes he was sent to jail for 2 years for injuring dogs. I would challenge you to find anyone else who received such a harsh sentence. A man in Kalamazoo, Michigan received 160 of community service for being part of a dog fighting ring. Many of the same hypocrites who chastise Vick can be found viewing boxing or MMA cage fighting between humans. Dog fighting is wrong but it should not be used to denigrate the life of a human being. How quickly you forget...Mikey didn't go to jail for "injuring dogs". He went to jail for taking his dogfighting ring across state lines which was a federal offense. He was given a suspended sentence for dogfighting, and animal abuse. And, just so you didn't know, he didn't "injure" his dogs. He tortured them to death using extreme barbaric means such as body slamming them, hanging, electrocution, drowning, beating and starving them to death. How you think those things equate to an "injury" shows your mentality. You are in denial about your hero.

Oh, and BTW Fair, dogfighting is not just wrong, it is a felony and it is used to "denigrate" those who do it. David Tant, a white man, went to jail for 40 years for his role in one of the largest dog fighting rings in the US. He had ties to Michael Vick. After Vick went to jail, a fellow in Richmond VA, went to jail for 4 years for dogfighting. Vick served NO time for the dogfighting or for the animal abuse. He actually got a huge break mostly because of his celebrity status.

TWO YEARS of that sick fukkk's life taken from him while he was locked away in a cage behind bars like a wild animal. I guess normal people and the majority of sane people don't agree. I heard they gave the felon lessons on how to act human while he was at Leavenworth. LMGDAO

Well, we have just heard from another of the ill informed Vick supporters. Mikey Vick went to prison for operating an interstate gambling ring that centered around dog fighting, not just dog fighting. The idiots in Sussex County were going to allow him to skate on the charges to a large extent and then the feds jumped in. Do you know the real reason vick did not contest the charges? Ever hear of the Ricco laws? As far as being jailed for fighting dogs, fact is that by vick's own standards he should have been put to death. When mikey vick had a dog that would not fight or fight to a certain level the dog was killed and I do not mean by easy methods but methods such as repeadly slamming the dog on a concrete surface or holding a dog under water until it was dead or with electric shock. Well, when mikey was given the chance to fight to the end for HIS freedom he punked out and did a plea bargian, ergo, like the dogs that would not fight, mikey punked out. mikey is a punk as a person because of his actions, he is a failure as an NFL Quaterback because he did not have the skill set to be a consistant winner in the NFL.
