i can imagine they would could should! we certainly don't know how to utilize him? he (pryor) would be almost perfect with eagles, coach chip kelly's style of play. might as will go after matt flynn if that's the case. mckenzie already knows him plus, he's been with greenbay.

It seems to be more of a system thing. It appears the Raiders are going away from the West Coast Offense, since their personnel does not fit the scheme (right decision). Flynn is a West Coast guy, so why should the Raiders even consider him? Let's remember that the Seahawks signed him to a starter's contract and Wilson won the job. They are looking to peddle him off. KC makes a lot more sense for Flynn than the Raiders. As far as Pryor, it is the same thing. Do they see Pryor working in the system that they are going to? Yes, closer than Flynn. My hunch is the Raiders would be tempted to make a trade with the Eagles, especially if it meant multiple picks including a second round pick for this year. It will be a tough decision and it can go either way. Pryor showed the ability to buy time in the pocket a la Big Ben which is an unusual quality. The Raiders should probably keep him.

i don't know, i'd rather trade pryor and stick with palmer. palmer is a pocket passer and still has the capability to manuver around the pocket. sure, pryor is the future. the kind of (qb) of the future that passes and runs. that's the "new thing"! but i feel safe with palmer. "calm and collected"! i'd rather have pryor as the starter but it seems kind of far fetched with this org. d allen barely saw what pryor is capable of and his light-bulb barely turned on after everyone was telling him to give pryor more of a chance. but it may be too late! trade pryor for more picks and continue with our "rebuilding mode" and forget about winning again this season. if they are after a plan, stick with it! "for the long run". i hate it but stick with it, that way there is no confusion!

Agreed. I think Palmer should be the starter for the next couple of years and I did not mean to give the impressioon that I wanted Pryor to be the starter. It is just that they have time for someone to develop behind Palmer and Pryor requires time to develop. You can't blame them for trading Pryor for picks and thinking "now". In a couple of years, then what? It will be intersting to see what happens if the Eagle rumours are true.

Truthfully, i have a real "want" to keep the Raiders talent we have in house. No fan likes seeing guys go away to other teams they like, but its even worse if that player ends up being good or VERY good.

As Pryor was Al's last pick, i may have a skewed opinion of that guy. I sort of feel like he gave us Pryor for a 3rd or 4th round pick as a final goodbye to help the team out ya know? Maybe its a little romanticized i know, but its where my imagination took it.

That being said, i would take the eagles 1st round draft pick for Pryor, thats just good football value for a backup qb(ala Matt Schaub from the Falcons for a 1st rounder)

But i don't think kelly will handicap his team like that his first year.

But i do like Pryor, even in a drop back system. I was VERY impressed by what he did in the last game of the season.

I don't think we're gonna a 2nd round pick for a backup QB we picked up in the 3rd round. If we get any picks at all, it seems more reasonable that we would get one in the 4th or 5th round for Pryor.

If McKenzie & Allen are going to stick with this WCO, then I say keep Pryor.....or trade him and go get Matt Flynn (who is an outstanding QB). Either of these guys could probably take over for Carson in 1-3 years.

If they are not gonna keep the WCO, Carson can continue to lead this team for another 5-7 years (depending on his knees and shoulder) but he needs an O-line to protect him.

I think Pryor will garner at least a 2nd round grade. And in think we should keep him unless we get a better offer than that. It doesn't make sense to get rid of a young, talented, hard working player for less than the worth you have already spent at getting him.

But i really don't see Palmer playing another 3 years. I don't think his body will last. He is already 32 or 33. Most QB's rapidly decline in arm strength and mobility after 34 or 35.

I don't know what the new oc wants to run yet alone who it will be, but whoever it is I'm sure has a vision and is on the same page as Dennis Allen and Reggie McKenzie.

I have a lot more faith in them than I did in Al Davis the last 10 years. As bad as I want our team to win, I'm just trying to be patient and let the course play itself. If Mckenzie is fired, I just may apply for the Gm job myself

Funny, they're already dangling the carrot out there for Terrell Pryor as a possible starter next year. If I were TP, I'd say thanks, but no thanks, I'm heading east.

funny,i agree with you. i really believe he is suited for the eagles under chip kelly. i know they are going to try and keep pryor here because he shows what a lot of (qb's) are doing around the leauge. but i don't think RAIDERS are suited to utilize pryor the right way. bringing in sparano might help the situation but i don't see d allen or our new (oc) knowing what to do with him. but hey, what the hell, we have him here and we'll give him the shot as best as we can. it will be too bad if it doesn't work out. sometimes, it's about trial and error. finders keepers!
