Jets' Curtis Martin retires from NFL

New York Jets running back Curtis Martin, fourth on the NFL's career rushing list, announced his retirement Thursday - 19 months after playing his final game. via Pantagraph

He was definitely a class act who quietly and cleanly ran his way into the record books. Wish there were more like him in the NFL and pro sports in general.

Great player, he grew up in my area and went to college at Pitt, he should definitely get in the HOF on his first ballot.

this is a shame he is a great football player he never got his chance to play in the superbowl if he did he would go in the hall of fame

It's too bad to see 2 of the best running backs in the NFL retire in the same year. They both had tremendous careers and it should be exciting to see the younger players try and replace them.
