If I had to choose between a deranged beast lover and every single mutt on the planet, I put bullet in every mutt's head and still choose the deranged beast lover everytime.

The mutt (beast/canine) would lose.

Ken white did a City Brights piece on that false "either/or" dichotomy recently. Upshot is there's no conflict between empathy for animals and empathy for humans. Those who feel compassion for one species, will do so for another.
At least, most of us will. My Q for you is: why can't You feel compassion for a living, breathing, bleeding, loving and suffering species other than h.sapiens?
My question is why cant you chose forgiveness for a living, breathing, bleeding, loving and suffering fellow human?

The simple answer is a loving, kind, empathetic person doesn't have to make a choice.Empathy, kindness and love know no difference.Either one has it or they don't.What a loss for those who don't.

Good news. Mike Vick's future does not depend on whether or not evil, hateful people like you forgive him or not.

Edwin, it's these cases that are to test your true ability to forgive someone. It's realitively easy to forgive lesser offenses.
It's more likely you don't know the meaning of forgivenss or incapeable of forgiving anyone for anything, even of a lesser nature.

How do you qualify your statement that Mr. Vick is only sorry he got caught? Have you spoken to him?

<quoted text>Who said anything about donte stallworth. stallworth actions were deliberate, he decided to drink, smoke weed, and then drive his car, these were decisions the stallworth made all by his self, which resulted in the death of another human being, not to mention this was not his first dui, his azz should be locked up
i don't recall ever making a comment as to whether or not i forgive vick's actions, what i did say is that i believe in second chances. to be perfectly honest it really doesn't matter whether i forgive vick or not, he hasn't done anything to me. if you choose not to forgive vick, and you don't believe in second chances, that is strictly your choice, but it doesn't make you right, just like my choice doesn't make me right, but that is the choice that i made and because i made that choice doesn't make me a evil person, or someone who doesn't have respect for animals. i could call you a supporter of drunk drivers, they kill people at an alarming rate.
My mistake, someone else brought up Stallworth, not you.We all know he got off easy because he paid off the victims family big time. How far do we carry this "second chance" and forgivness" thing? Dahmer? Manson? McVay?

Are you comparing the 169 victims of the Oklahoma City bombing to the the animals that Mr. Vick killed?

Are you comparing the 17 victims of Jeff Dahmer to the animals that Mr. Vick killed

Are you comparing the victims of Charlie Manson to the animals that Mr. Vick killed?

Are you seriously comparing animals to humans?

why would you use these people who are all guilty of murdering numerous human beings to the 8 dogs vick is accused of killing? funny even though these people were guilty of murdering all these people they didn't get the attention vick has recieved. Vick paid those dogs big time too, but it still wasn't enough. btw how do you know how much stallworth paid the family the amount he paid was never made public, you can only assume. vick gave those dogs a million dollars, i bet that family didn't get that much.

i can't speak for "we" i can only speak for myself, when a person has completed the punishment regardless to what, that is when the second chance begins.

yep that is exactly what he is doing, he couldn't mention someone that was accused of the same crime as vick, but then that figures since vick is the only person that has been found guilty of animal cruelty and dogfighting.

excuse i'm sorry i forgot to mention as i said before it is not up to me to forgive, none of the people you mentioned or vick have done anything to me so i don't have to forgive them.

Well, well, well if it isn't Ms dirty sheets.

Contrary to what your polesmoking asz thinks..........there are second chances. As evident that Mr. Vick is now playing for the Eagles. Yahoo!

Try and remember they were merely dogs and not human..........please try and remember that.
