Beyond that, one can hope that we will see more arrests and successful prosecutions, and that the high profile nature of Vick's arrest will mean greater protection for animals across the board. Ultimately it's up to us to let our legislators know how much it means to lock away animal abusers. And that's what I do! http://www.thepetitionsite.com/411/petition-t...

As for human rights wtf does that have to do with this issue dealing with animals??? And for those speaking of these human rights what do you do for them? I bet you change the channel every time one of those "feed the children" commercials comes on. It's easier to tune out bad things like cruelty to animals and humans that actually doing anything about it.
Once upon a time animals were worshipped and thought of as important creatures on our planet. Then the Greeks started the whole man is superior to animals let's destroy them. Are we though? In ways no we are not just because we have language and can build things. We are worse than animals, animals don't wage wars, or have genocides. Animals don't shoot people! Animals came first, and animals don't judge people, or act like a$$holes like many of you do. I would like to see some of you against a lion or some animal besides a dog and see how manly and awesome you are. Respect people and animals it's not that hard people!

Oh no you din' lmao, you know if that had been the case there would be rallies in the streets and whining on every channel, sharpton and jackson would be in a tizzy! They don't understand the concept of being civilized human beings.

I can't believe those who say "Well Vick didn't mistreat dogs himself." Oh yes he did. I can't help thinking about the recidivism rates with child abusers and rapists that has been all over the news lately. I put animal abusers in the same category of: NEVER being able to be trusted...they WILL do it again.

Vick didn't just kick a dog - he is guilty of numerous cruelty and abuses of the worst kind. Putting battery cables to a dogs ear and tossing the dog into a pool is sick, evil, unthinkable. You want him for YOUR neighbor? How about letting him babysit YOUR kids? Go ahead! And to you with the social worker degree; you should know this - go back to school. repeat

This guy has shown that he has absolutely no values, this is not something he can wash away by "doing his time". If it had been theft, or some other crime, then fine, I'd give him a second chance, but torturing and killing animals for fun? No way, even if he had shown the slightest remorse, which he hasn't. WTF was NFL Commissioner Godell thinking allowing him back?$$$$ that's what he was thinking.

I have followed the Vick fiasco for over 2 yrs. I check Best Friends Sanctuary, every day to find out how the 22 former Vick dogs are coming along in their rehabilitation. 2 have been adopted. Others are coming along just fine, no thanks to Vick. No amount of prison time will ever make Vick a decent human being.I have written to to Mr. Goodell, numerous times, protesting Vicks reinstatement. I have written to the sponsors of the Eagles, as I will no longer buy any of their products, as long as Vick is an Eagle, and they are their sponsors. Budweiser is going to re-evalute their sponsorship, in the 2010 season. Nike, Best Buy, and Pepsi are going to continue to sponsor the Eagles and Vick. I will not purchase any products from anyone who sponsors Vick. I suggest anyone interested, to write letters of protest to the Eagles sponsors and their corporate sponsors.
