Childress has to go. He ran the clock out with four minutes and put in Jackson! He should have gotten seven more points! Did he place some bets in Vegas or something???

It appears the concerns of a letdown by some posters were not unfounded. Glad the Vikes were able to overcome sloppy play and turnovers-and one very bad call from the refs.
This game should never have been close-the Kittens are a lousy team (with one tough Q.B.)
Now, if the Cowpies can beat the Buttpackers- this will be a very good day...

Costly penalties - got to fix that before next week.
Costly turnovers - we should have won by at least 10 more points.
But, finally some decent tackles.
I'll take 8-1; hope for 9-1 next week.
Sure wish someone would beat the Saints before we do!

Hey, had to watch the game in a bar w/o sound (in Alabama) I've got a couple questions- What was the call, on Edwards I think, when Stafford was sacked and fumbled, but the Lions got the ball after a penalty? The replays kept showing Edwards leaving his feet but he never touched Stafford who was hit and moved the other direction.?? The other question is, on the bomb to Rice, he made the catch at the 5, then jumped into the end zone. But it wasn't ruled a touchdown. But he wasn't down by contact, since the defender didn't touch him AFTER the catch, and if that was the call, why wasn't it a penalty for contact BEFORE the catch?? Otherwise, glad for the win- but it wasn't a good game to watch. Expected Vikes to play better, especially defense in that third quarter. Ouch. Thanks, and Go Vikings!!

congratulations -- You just put up the single dumbest post in the history of the universe.

Imagine if AP, Rice, Favre, or any other star player was seriously injured in garbage time of a lopsided game. Then what would you say?

With such a struggle after the bye week, one has to hope that the Vikings do NOT get a first round bye in the playoffs. They have some work to do. Against a 1-8 team, and 500 yards of offense, one would have expected a blowout. Favre and Rice did their work -- where was the rest of the team? Some poor play calling didn't help. Also, it would have been nice to have a big enough lead to give the "old man" QB a second half rest.

They played a really sloppy game with lots of mental mistakes. A game like that does not inspire confidence. Sloppy play is not a sign of a well coached team. With 13 penalties and 3 turnovers you can beat Detroit but not many other teams.

No, it is not. Remember how mediocre this offense was ratings wise last year, imagine where we would be with Jackson of Sage. Childress continues to show some absolutely shocking coaching errors. It will be amazing if this team can go all the way with Klink. I love the Vikes and hope they do, but never have I had any fatih in Childress.

Penalties were awful, but the Vikings looked much better today on TACKLING.

Maybe the bye week wasn't so bad, after all.

Vikes seem top play up to or down to their opponents skill level. But nothing is counted except wins and loses, and it seems like the purple are doing quite well.

It'll be interesting to see if the sheer talent of this team can overcome the really poor coaching we are seeing.

I think the time off was good for the wounded but their timing skills may have suffered a bit.
Lets hope they get it corrected before next Sunday.

They called Edwards for LAUNCHING and leading w/his head (Helmet to Helmet) contact. I thought Rice was in for a TD also! I don't think he was touched after the catch then lunged into the endzone.BUT, The Vikes usually don't get calls that WORK FOR THEM...

I'm not counting the Packers out just yet...

Green Bay isn't all that bad. All they need to do is get a new coach, a new GM, a new QB, a new RB, a new Defensive Coordinator, one new DE, one new LB, and 3 new offensive linemen.

Other than that, they're practically unbeatable.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Aries

It's one of those days when you'd be wise to mind your Ps and Qs if you want to avoid putting both feet in it or feeling like a fool. The trouble is that you're finding it hard to think before you speak, and you're rushing into situations without thinking about the possible consequences. All you can do is to apologize and try your hardest not to let it happen again.
