That nice country road for T-Jax was the Arizona game, a team that just won their division and played a basic defensive lax scheme the whole game. Then T-jax takes that Porsche in heavy city traffic, lets call it the playoffs, against Philly, looks confused and crashes and burns that Porsche by throwing a perfect pass to Samuel for a Philly TD. IMO, all the athleticism in the world cannot overcome poor decisions or the inability to read defenses.

Well-stated, Soda. That's my view also. Meaning no disrespect to Jeb. I feel alittle sorry for Jackson. The lad just doesn't seem to have a quick enough grasp at reading opposing defenses. I think that that's his major problem. Secondary to that, he seems to get "rattled" too easy.- It's not a matter of his athleticism.

T. Jack always has been impressive in "off season workouts" Same story every year. Problem is when the bullets are live he is like a deer looking into the headlights. Nothing wrong with T. Jack if you are satisfied with 10-6 and a playoff appearance. I for one have seen enough of those seasons and am ready for a Super Bowl. Favre gives us a better chance plain and simple.

i believe ive been saying that all along but ummm anywho.... Tarvaris Jackson is not kurt warner and if i recall the receivers kurt had to throw the ball to were just a LITTLE better than what TJ had to work with. We've all seen what favre can do but thats a crapshoot due to the fact no one knows if his arm will be what it was. If he IS healthy enough to play then im all for it.
I thought of that for WR, Fitz and Boldin are studs, even though Boldin was not at full strength last year, but you could also argue Warner never had a RB like AP or an offensive line like T-Jax to help him out. But we do agree, if Farve IS healthy, he should beat any defense that has any inclination of putting 8 in a box, something T-Jax could not exploit.

Totally agree, I WANT Jackson to do well, but he just does not seem to "get it". How many years do you wait? It's a "what have you done for me now" league and every game counts. Crap, you think us die hard fans wished for Farve, aka the evil one, to come here. Heck no, but what we got is not cutting it and Farve has the experience that we need AND he's available.

The Viking brand is fading despite our loyal fan base. The Vikings need a new stadium to stay in the TC after 2011. We barely sell out with corporate help- big deal, corps are hurting. Sports hype and media coverage bring high spirits to a sports community. High spirits motivate legislative support (ala Twins after contraction threats). QBs, WRs and RBs make ESPN and internet headlines. TJack and Rosenfels will never make the first 20 minutes of ESPNews. A healthy Favre will headline every game, win or lose. TV revenue, residual income and merchandise will surround Favre. We have to think of TC franchise survival, not just whether we will win in 2009. If we win, its an added bonus that we can ride all the way to the state congress chambers.

How true it is, Its all about the money espcially for Wilf and company, and everybody has to agree that T-jack and Sage aren't gonna fill the seats up, Farve on the other hand sell em out BABY its gonna create excitement. Then the money rolls in. Heck he's not doing anything but sitting on his rump and look at all the stuff the media is making up about him. The revenue is gonna start to roll, and Wilf will be smiling all the way to the bank.

I agree. I will fill the seats, make money, get paid and retire gain. I wont be filling any seats for the Super Bowl though since I wont take the Vikings there.

Who cares what "some Vikings players" think about who should be the QB? All THEY have to do is take care of business. If everybody does THAT, they will all have a blast for a shot at the top rung on the ladder. That's where it's at! THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES. YOU HAVE TOO MANY UNACCOUNTABLES TO GO RIGHT FOR YOU IN A GAME PLUS GAME AFTER GAME AFTER GAME. DON'T FUMBLE, CATCH & HANG ON, GET YOUR BLOCK, RUN YOUR ROUTE LIKE A COMPUTER...SURVIVE THE MISSED FOUL CALLS, DON'T DRAW ' STUPID' PENALTIES ( LIKE 'ENCROACHMENT', FALSE START, ETC. Now , quitcher bitchin' and perform for the big bucks you're getting!!

We all know that after you play 15+ years in the NFL that you must be broke and only playing for a paycheck, especially if youre an elite superbowl QB. So yea, everyone must ASSUME youre only in it for the money. Go back to your hovel and dream of better days cuz the fans know you dont even like playing football Mr.Favre. Shame on you you money hungry freak.

If Favre gets paid more than me, I will just do more helicopter maneuvers in hopes of a bonus check.

I think rosey baby had the wilder looking move, the avrage five year old playing backyard football could have T-jacks jump pass. That same five year old would have had a hard time with the arial spin. LOL!!!
