Why are some of you still bitter? You sound so upset at Boller, you're right he was given a chance to what, run for his life with no O-Line and no-one to guide him. Look at all of the other proven QB's they had someone to mentor them, Kyle didn't. I not going to excuse all of his plays and I'm not going to forget when he went down majority of you fake ##@! Raven fans cheered. Wouldn't you think that was a little bit extreme? One of our fallin' laying in pain and all I see is some of you wishing for the worst. Maybe he needs to sit alone again away from the other teammates and curse everyone to hell. He did nothing wrong but tried. I’m just glad we not as bad as the Clownies.

Kyle Boller continues to be a class act in a situation where most players would be complaining

boller is a nice guy and sometimes i think he trys to hard because of the things he hears. i think it will be best for boller if he plays for another team next year. i just dont think this is a place where he can get the job done at. a fresh start for boller will do him some good. besides reports i have been hearing is troy smith has looked good in training camp. maybe he will be the answer in 2more years. only time will tell

I gotta give Mason many props for backing up Kyle. Ray Ray is a punk by already anointing Troy as the Ravens QB of the future.
I definitely don't want Kyle, who I think has anxiety issues, to be our starting QB, but he deserves to be treated with professional respect from ALL of his teammates.

I've always liked Kyle's attitude. He gives 100% all the time. I was at the Redskins scrimmage and liked the way he clicked with D. Williams. Like the commercial says, "NFL stands for not for long." One good shot and Steve could be on the ground and not get back up. He's had a history of taking big shots like the concussion that benched him for the Browns game. Kyle isn't going anywhere. He will be the starter over Smith or Olson. I think Coach Billick will want him around for another 10 years if he's asked to comment on the QB situation.

not many quarterbacks are too successful in there first 3 years except maybe marino or rothlisberger. he was absolutely horrible in his first two years as to be expected. by the end of his 3rd year (which he missed a number of games due to injury his first three years-remember that) he was as good as any qb as the article mentioned his games against gb and minny. i was so looking forward to his 2006 season. thats when ozzie decided the future was in better hands with a washed-up qb from tennesee. as i watched our hopes go down to that great colts defense i could only wonder if boller may have put up more than 6 points. i figure he could have done that blindfolded. boller played outstanding in his two chances last year. the game has slowed in 5 years for him. look at drew brees his first three years. now hes league mvp or close every year. i hope hes our starter at least by next season. if the ravens let him go they will be sorry.

Interesting mix of views on Boller; it's about what I expected as a New Yorker who doesn't know what the prevailing attitude on him is.

Baltimore's offense had myriad problems during Boller's first three seasons, but with that said, he was a raw, sloppy passer. He needed a lot of work when he came into the league (was very inconsistent at Cal until his final season), and it wasn't realistic to think he would be a winner in his first few seasons.

Roethlisberger was a polished passer who started at Miami and carried the team for several years. Boller was an inconsistent player who showed flashes of brilliance for one season at Cal. It's foolish to hold them both to the same standard.

It took Rich Gannon 11 seasons before he established himself as a solid starting NFL quarterback. He's an extreme case, but my point stands. It's not unusual for a quarterback to have several awful NFL seasons before blossoming into a solid starter. Boller could be that type of player; he looked good down the stretch in 2005, and looked even better in relief duty last year.

Kyle may have struggled, but he is a class individual that will do whatever he can to help the team. He may have frustrated Raven fans in the past, but he will never embarass the orginization or the city.

boller will shine given the chance. week one in cincinnati our offence will struggle ,just like last year they play their defensive backs 10 to 15 yards off the line and our short passing game will be shut down mcnair looks worse{tired} now than at the end of last year.ozzie slipped by picking troy smith could have gotten him undrafted and then released him without wasting the draft pick. as far as ray lewis is concerned who made him the QB guru his last pick was anthony wright notice a trend there, just shut up and play ray ray he sounds stupid endorsing these quarterbacks he wont even be here when that decision has to be made.

I keep believing he'll succeed here. Unfortunately, the only chance is if Mcnair gets hurt. Question, hypothetically, say Boller starts the last 12 games, plays brilliant and leads us into the playoffs, then what? Does he leave and give us the bird or does Ozzie re-up him?

Actually, the things you're describing, he's done very little of in his past several games, especially last season. The negative things ALL of you seem to bring up, are in reality stuff that has happened SOMETIMES, not ALL the time. And to be quite frank with you, Baltimore has NEVER had a good QB since the Ravens began. Vinny didn't cut it, and no one after him has either. Even the "GREAT" Steve McNair made EVERY SINGLE mistake you guys have accused Boller of, more or less, in just ONE season. You're telling me that you people weren't "pulling your hair out" when McNair made bonehead mistakes that cost us games against Denver, Cincy, and Indy? Or the fact that under McNair we BARELY beat teams like the Browns, Titans, or Chargers? Our offense wasn't really any better last season that it ever has been, save for the fact that we actually have some good receivers now, but if you ask me, it's the same old crap at QB as it ALWAYS has been.

I think Billick's play calling helped some, but it obviously still did no good in the playoffs, because McNair just WASN'T in the game.

Kyle Boller is not nor has he EVER been as bad as some of you haters like to point out, in fact I'd say his positives have always outweighed his negatives, and if you want to talk about his "Horrible" record on the road, well NEWS FLASH people, the Ravens have until last season pretty much ALWAYS been shaky on the road. Hopefully that continues to change, but it's a TEAM issue, not just a QB issue. It's hilarious how I'm SURE that so many of you probably HATED McNair back when he was with the Titans, just like I did, and yet you forgive him all day for his asinine mistakes on the field, his OWN bumbling and stumbling that shouldn't be happening to a Pro Bowl QB, and you make excuses for him all day long. Yet those same mistakes and losses with Boller are ALWAYS Kyle's fault, no matter what.

It's not that Boller doesn't get a fair shake in Baltimore, it's just that some of you fans are honestly complete hateful idiots. And fair weather to boot. The proof is in the fact that while he may have been booed in the past, there were also MANY times when he won games at home and the fans were going bat sh*t. I distinctly remember a huge banner after the Green Bay game in 05 that said "Welcome to BOLLERmore".

He is a gifted natural athlete, he DOES have all the tools, and he HAS gotten better every single year, whether you haters want to see it or don't. I've always liked the guy and supported him from day one, because A) He's a Baltimore Raven, and B) because from the outset he said he WANTED to play in Baltimore, and that's never changed, he's been nothing but kind and gracious and humble, regardless of how f**ked up many of you have been to him. That's just what idiot sports fans do, and he deals with it with poise.

I hope to GOD he gets his chance to shine this year, and is resigned for many years to come, as our eventual STARTER again, and that he leads the Ravens to SUCCESS, so that I my Baltimore Ravens WIN, and so that it will just eat up all you haters who will NEVER like him, even if he does win us a Super Bowl someday. But hey, that's YOUR problem, not mine, and certainly not his.

I say, bless him. And I hope he stays right here, where he belongs.

As a loyal Ravens fan, I have followed Klye Boller;s journey in Baltimore. His arm is just a rifle but his quarterback instincts are like a water pistol. We, the fans of Baltimore, have given him enough time to become what he is today--a loser instead of a winner. I will quote hime from a newspaper article, " I just want to play." From that statement, maybe Kyle Boller should put on the uniform of the Baltimore Orioles instead of the Baltimore Ravens.

He could just be the type of player who needs a change of scenery. I think he'll always have a monkey on his back in Baltimore because he started for a team that had a good enough defense and running game to win the Super Bowl and, for various reasons both within and beyond his control, didn't get the job done. I could see him signing with a team like, say, Tampa Bay and developing into a decent starter.

Hey Kyle,
Looks like the true football fans of Baltimore got your back! Pay no attention to the doomsdayers, most of them only see finals scores anyway. Tear 'em up every chance you get, Hope to see you in purple and black next year!

I for one will never feel sorry for Kyle Boller. He was overated by scouts based on his stupid stunt of throwing the ball on one knee which absolutely is useful for no reason. He was handed the job, and never given any competition. He failed miserably despite having Jim Fassell as a personal tutor. He was given better receivers, an upgraded OL, and still has an atrocious road record. He is what he is and that is simply a backup level NFL QB. Will he ever develop? I would bet my house he won't and I have been watching NFL football for over 40 years.

I've been a Boller supporter since we drafted him, I really think he'll be a great QB after spending 2 seasons learning behind McNair. I hope and pray he stays and eventually starts with the Ravens, I have far too many of his Playing Cards that I'm hoping jump up in value. I have the same faith in Clarence Moore as well.

Why all the ripping of Ray Lewis for supporting a rookie QB? He doesn't and didn't rip Boller, and those of you ripping Ray - have you forgotten all that he's done for this team? He's done more in one practice than Boller has done in his entire time here. I think it's pathetic to hear you all whining about the need to keep a mediocre backup QB here who was drafted too high when we obviously need to move on. Whether Smith is the answer or not, it doesn't matter - he was a low pick, hardly a risk. Boller cost us big time but now that that cost is about to be paid in full, don't go into debt again by bringing him back because he's a friggin' nice guy. Don't forget - the defense did not bash the offense all those years that we couldn't score, all those games that the defense carried us. They had every right to, but they were remarkably quiet. The guys who left were never heard from again and the guys who stayed gave us wins with their effort IN SPITE OF our offense. Boller deserves his share of the blame regardless of his attitude. Don't blame Ray Lewis for a damn thing but victories and leadership on the field. Maybe even thank him instead of criticizing him for supporting a rookie who just might need some veteran leadership.

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Leo

If you're worried about running up big debts in what is usually one of the most expensive months of the year, start keeping a running total of how much money you've spent so far. You might have to restrict the amount you spend on Christmas presents, or make other savings in order to stay within your budget, but you realize the folly of ending up severely out of pocket.
