I've heard enough to shy away from Jarvis Jones and Star Lotulelei. A lot of mock now have us taking Sharrif Floyd I guess because he was second best at his position after hearing about Star's heart. I'm sure we can get a player at #3 that will make a positive difference but I'm thinking it may be worth trading down and getting a second round pick too. We seem to have too many problems and not enough picks

If we hang onto #3 overall I think the likely pick is Damontre Moore...Other posibilities are Luke Joeckel (if he falls that far), Bjorern Werner, and maybe Chance Warmack or Dee Milliner (Those two would be big reaches).

However, since Seymour is likely gone, Kelly is likely to get released, and Bryant is unlikely to get re-signed after his arrest, DT becomes a pretty big need now. Due to Star's heart condition, I'm not sure he's woth the risk at #3 overall, but I don't think Sharrif Floyd is good enough to take that high either. With our needs becoming greater than before, I think HC may have the best idea in trading down. Now if Joeckel or Moore is available to us then I hope we take one of them. I like Werner, but I think Moore is more of a complet DE whereas Werner seems more like a pass rushing specialist.

i was watching s floyd at the combine and he's big strong but slow to jump off the line in my eyes. so that's still makes me like bjoem werner. they were saying "no one is that great" to to be a top 10 pick overall and overall in the whole draft. and i don't mind trading our spot and moving down for more picks. problem is who is willing to trade with us and move up? specially if everyone knows this may be one of the worst drafts in terms of no players being worthy of all pro type selection. that's why i say just stick with the pick and trade someone like mcfadden, dhbey, for more picks.

I don't know which free agents they're gonna try to bring back and who will be the cap casualties, but we have a lot of needs to fill and it's likely we will need two DTs as well as two corners and at least 2 OL so there's no telling what we'll end up doing...plus we don't know what FAs they have in mind for signing.

That's good news R.M.. If Big Star is cleared to go, I say we snag him. Seems like a good fit to me.
