Why can't this guy just shut up and play. What kind of professional is this.Is this the kind of example our young players will be aspiring to be. Big bark but no bite.

PORTER IRKED BY SAPP
A day after Raiders defensive tackle Warren Sapp responded to Joey Porter's guarantee with "You don't do that, you don't pour gasoline on the fire," Porter fired back.

"Well, I'm the type of guy that throws gasoline on the fire," Porter said. "He said he doesn't want gas on the fire? Well, I'm throwing gas on the fire, and we will see how hot the fire gets."

"I don't like walking into a game and hand shaking and being nice to each other. If [the guarantee] made Sapp mad, so be it."

I love that comment, the comment is awesome, just too bad he isn't playing the way he used to. RB and WR used to fear this guy, but he is getting old.

Since his arrival our defense has gone from above average to pathetic if you can't back your words keep your mouth shut. I know Joey is Joey he's trying to get the team fired up the way Cameron can't seem to do.

Porter is quickly becoming a poster child for why teams should think thrice before throwing money at a washed up big name free agent. He's bad enough on the filed, now he's making an spectacle of himself, which only draws attention to his failure.

Porter has a big mouth, yet he's done nothing for the Dolphins. Here's part of a story that ran in thr NY papers:
An incident that occurred prior to last Sunday's game.
Fullback Darian Barnes, who signed with the Jets in the offseason after playing the previous two seasons in Miami, saw Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter around midfield and the two began jawing at each other.
"You going to try to make a name for yourself?" Porter chirped to Barnes, who scoffed at him.
"Joey Porter is a [bleep]," Barnes recounted yesterday. "He's been trash talking for years. What was he trying to prove coming up to me at the 50 yard line (before the game) like it was some sort of showdown? I'm not worried about Joey Porter. He hasn't hit anybody in eight years."
When a photographer approached Barnes to tell him he had a good shot of he and Porter talking before the game, Barnes asked if he could have a print so he could send it to Porter and write the words "[Bleep] you" on it. Porter is a loser.
There's your Dolphins in action. Pathetic Losers
first of all Barnes is a nobody,Porter could smack this guy around at will if and when he chooses, and as far as the big mouth goes, jet fans talk more crap than porter and no other team is more pitiful than the jets, so shut your piehole, fool,,.

Oddly, no one has had anything to say about the headline, which is our middle linebacker possibly returning to action so soon after the latest concussion. Really, what is the upside to this? Is it worth it if we win? Jason Taylor shot-off about Trent being scrambled eggs with another hit. Luckily, it has not happened, yet. Quarterbacks, by design, are not supposed to get hit in the head. Middle linebackers, by design, engage in head to head contact several times a game, especially if they are effective. I can understand a guy like Zach is going to want to do whatever he can on gameday, but if this is a collective decision, I really do hope common sense prevails. It is not like he had the summer to sort out the cobwebs like Trent did.

If I were following the team as a reporter, I would be curious to hear what Jason Taylor has to say about his friend and brother-in-law. What would his advice be, especially given his comment regarding Trent Green's health.

As for the collective conscience of this team and entire organization, win or lose, I pray nothing serious happens to Zach Thomas, or the blame should be shared collectively.

'Jets fans' aren't the point of the article. Porter is just a loudmouth idiot. If you condone this type of nonsense you are exactly the type of 'fan' you describe. FOOL

Zach Thomas is a gamer and wants to play. Regardless of how good or bad the team is, Zach really needs to think long and hard about whether it's all worth it or not. He's had a pretty good career, has alot of money, in the end it's up to him. Wayne Chrebet , for instance, finally decided to hang it up after multiple concussions but it may have been too late. To this day along with plenty of money and a restuarant he has memory loss, problems with bright lights and severe headaches. Zach better think long and hard.....
