Teachers are underpaid and teach with outdated text books. Children go hungry every day. Homeless people are freezing on our streets every night due to a lack of shelters. And rich Republi-thugs block tax increases to help the plight of any of these people. Yet when it comes to building monuments to the billionaire owners of sprots teams, and millionaire players, you vote these tax increases in every time. Republi-thugs are a very strange bunch.

I was not for the Excel Center,The Target Center,or the new Twins stadium. I'm not a big Gopher fan but have no problem with their stadium. There should not be CORPORATE WELFARE for these good old boys. Don't try that jobs crap either, putting cheese on nachos is not a career path. There must be some real shenanigans going on between the tribes and politicians for them to not consider a Racino. That appears to be the only way the average taxpayer wouldn't have to foot the Vikes building bill. Makes too much sense though,so it won't happen.

benigan wrote: and just how much would it cost a family of four to attend a Vikings game? If they buy tickets in the nose bleed section it would no doubt cost $200.00. Better tickets are much higher. Then of course they will have to buy hot dogs etc. so I would think a round number of $350.00 would be cutting it close. Oh I forgot the parking, but maybe they will take the bus. Now this was a loball amount and it could be much higher depending on the price of tickets and the seats you buy. Who knows so a family of 4 has to rethink do I want to go to the football game or eat for a week. Not a difficult decision to make.

I am sure people in other parts of your state will be in favor of a lottery - NOT. What is in it for them? There is a waiting list for Season Packer Tickets. Minnesota last year had a hard time filling their stadium. The Packers have a history that no other NFL team has and that is why the citizens of Wisconsin support the Packers. http://www.ticketwaitinglist.com/2009/06/gree... hey green bay packers fan, get off our website and stop ur anti-vikings rant about how no one here should raise taxes to build a new stadium so we can KEEP the vikings here.

Now that I have the gay brokeback quarterback, it's off to LA and change the purple to pink and have a stadium fill of married couples. Life doesn't get any better. You Queens fans are all suckers. I'm moving the team regardless

It all about the Vikings. The ticket prices are outrageous, the owner is filthy rich, the players make millions and they want taxpayers to build them a new stadium to further line their pockets. They gotta lot of nerve.

Call it by other names but you are taking my kids' college savings from me to give to others. If I don't pay, I go to jail. Shame on you! Thomas Jefferson worried that he was violating the constitution when he purchased the Louisiana Territory. He would laugh at our state and federal governments, and then cry. Stealing to give to millionaires. Wow, how government serves the middle class. We pay for the poor and we pay for the rich. This should be illegal! Haha. That's right! Stealing from the middle class is much better! Go ahead, Shaniqua, have another child. On us!
