Prediction: The success of the 'Brett Favre Experiment' will be more than enough to convince coaches and management to go outside the team to secure a long term replacement when Fave is gone. The 2010 draft is loaded with good prospects (Bradford will not be fully rehabbed by combine time, and is expected to slide...), and there is always the possibility of a trade for a tested veteran, like Cutler to Chicago or Cassell to Kansas City. Either way, I can't see anyone from Wilf down to Chidress and Bevell wanting to hear it from the fans when Favre finally rides off into the Hattiesburg sunset (for good), and the only roster options are Jackson and Rosenfels. Doesn't hurt that they no longer have a real glaring weakness on the roster, giving them the flexibility to draft a rookie QB who might not produce right away. Crossing my fingers...

My prediction: Childress will think Tjack will be what he thought he was supposed to be after sitting under Favre. That scares me, but who knows? A lot of people here were wrong about other things that seemed so obvious to them at the time (pot smoking Harvin as the 1st round pick, Allen and his drinking, bringing in Favre, etc.) If we take it to the superbowl and win, Favre is gone. He walks out into the sunset in a storybook ending. If not, he's in for one more year to hope for the same thing. If we win and he brings TJack back out the following year, I have a feeling the majority of people will still be "superbowl drunk" and won't really care. At first! Then it will be a matter of how he plays.

He might be MVP except that Brees and Manning are having such great years too. I remember when Cullpepper had his great year he would have won MVP if it wasn't for Brady (or was it Manning) having an otherworldly year.
In any case this is fun to watch.

The Vikings are gone after 2011. The State of Minnesota is broke. Taxes are going to have go through the roof to cover the current defecits. Does anyone really think every Minnesotan is going to be willing to pony up an additional $200 to build a $1Billion stadium so Ziggy can make even more money?

If that's your rationale, then it doesn't hold water. No state in the union is more broke than California.

I THINK IT WAS MANNING BUT YEAH, 36 TD'S and 11 int's. and he didn't win.

Favre is the league MVP not for what he has done for the Vikings, but what he has done for the League.

Bret has brought glory to the Vikes. How the man moves at 40 is like a miracle. He has a great supporting cast and may end up in the SB. They will not move to LA. So don't be concerned. Someone will come through and a new sta. will be built in time.
